Thanks! Nice to get another data point. I still have the stock tank on my DR and usually figure 45 miles per gallon. I do carry two extra liters in my bags.

Looks like you get the same economy. 👍😀

Thank you very much for your data, the consumption will vary depending on several factors: your weight, modifications to your motorcycle such as air filter, carburetor, sprockets, types of wheels, etc., in addition to the elevation where you are driving and many more...

Very true. There are a lot of variables that can influence it. Most people seem to be about the 5L/100km. My next purchase will be a Safari Tank at 30 litres - zero fuel anxiety 😀

Nice insight. I have a 1997 dr650se, with 60 k km. I have made 8k km last year and tracked fuel consumption. Turns out it's 5,1l/100km. (im 110kg, but with light gear on bike) The best was 3.6, but it was very small distance from fuel station to fuel station (only 74 kms) so might be an error there. The maximum was 7.2 ant that was on a freeway, at about 130 kmh. (not worth riding that fast). But I was able to constantly keep 4.5 in the trails. Keep in mind that this DR has modified mikuni bst40 carb (drilled slide, cut spring, bigger jets).

That range agrees with what I also get. High speed, bad economy. Thanks. 👍🏻😁

To get near 3.6, I think you were maintaining 90-100 km/h constant speed without much gear added.
