Too little or too much air pressure is not desirable. if the pressure in the tire is less, then more part of your tire will be in contact with the road due to which your mileage may be reduced. Apart from mileage, it will also increase friction due to more contact surface area. Friction will increase heating and due to heating, the life of the tire will be shortened. When the tyre pressure is high, and when your bike rides through potholes, pebbles or just on the speed breakers on the road, then the chances of damage to the tire also increases.
The second thing that you have to check every time before starting the bike is the oil level, meaning the engine oil level and if your bike is liquid cooled, then the coolant level too. To check the oil level, the engine should be off and the vehicle should be on the main stand. With this you will see the level correctly.
The third thing that you should check every time before starting the bike are the brakes. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously and try to move the bike. If this bike moves forward, then it means that there is something wrong in the front brake. If this bike has moved backwards, it means that rear brakes are faulty.
The fourth thing that you should check every time before starting the bike is the controls i.e. indicators, horn, lights, both high beam and by checking the controls you will know how is the battery health of your bike. Meaning if the horn is fine or the lights are fine. With this check you will know that the battery health, and if it's weak then you either have to change the battery or charge it, so plan accordingly.
The fifth thing that you should check every time before starting the bike is the condition of the chain and socket. It is of two types. There will be one in which your entire chain is covered and the other which is open type. If it is covered then you cannot check much because it is closed and it is not possible to open it every day. But even when you ride the bike, if you hear a rubbing sound due to the chain and cover colliding, then you will know that the tension in your chain is getting loose and it needs to be tightened. Apart from that, you should also keep this cover as clean as possible, because if anything leaks anywhere, it will be visible on this cover and you will know that something is wrong so you can open the cover and check. The second type is open type in which you can see your chain and pocket. This happens in naked bikes. It is easy for you to inspect or check it, but because it is open, there is a risk of damage due to sunlight, dust and water. So you have to check daily that its lubrication level is correct and you should also check the tension. Remember friends, if you are of open type or close type, the tension will always be loose i.e. it will never get tight by itself, so you should always keep checking it.
And the sixth thing you should check every time before starting the bike. That is on the lower body surface of the bike and the area where you have parked the bike because if there are any stains or leaks on the bike, they will either be visible down on the body or in the area where you have parked the bike. So if you are checking that area before starting the bike and if there is no leaks or any such mark then it means everything is fine and you can start the bike.
BONUS: one more thing which you should check every time before starting is the position of the choke.
