The pinstripe work is amazing. Great job man. I don't assume its safe to drive these on the highway but this looks great.

Hey, love the white walls. My rear is a 130/90-17 and front is 100/90-19 I'm having difficulties finding a matched pair.

This one has a Continental on the back. They have the best looking whitewall IMO. They don't make a front in the size needed. The front is just a Shinko, if I remember correctly.

I also had another question. Did you have to do any jetting or modifying of the carbs when you went strait pipe and put the pod filters on? I have the other style of carb but I haven't seen any videos where somebody said they had to do anything to the carbs.
@Sixtaillights

This is the second bike I've built like this, they both ran, but had carb issues before I chopped them. So yeah, they both needed to be dialed in. I'd expect it would need to be tuned even in a good running bike.

Did you have to jet the carbs in order for the pod filters to work properly? If you did how big did you have to go from stock
@Sixtaillights
6 жыл бұрын
Christopher Shelby the carbs did have to be gone through. The owner of the bike took care of it, so I can't answer that unfortunately

I have a question, what kind of paint did you use for the tank and the frame? I sprayed mine flat black from a rattle can and i like the look but its just not durable. What did you do?
@Sixtaillights

The paint is called "Hot Rod Flats" can't remember the brand. It was professionally done.

Did you make your own wiring harness or did you buy an after market? Im having major trouble with my electical system
@Sixtaillights
10 жыл бұрын
It's the stock harness. I just eliminated the turn signal wiring. The majority of it is still bundles behind the headlight, and I extended a few wires to make everything fit nicely under the seat.

How much did it cost you to do the straigh piping
@Sixtaillights
10 жыл бұрын
Less than $20. It's just some straight pieces from the parts store. I used pieces of the stock exhaust to go around the inside of the kickstand. Cut up and welded back together.
