Are you sure this is the filter? looks more like the strainer on the intake side of the pump not the fuel filter on the high pressure side...

Look at the date of the video Joseph. Before anyone had really done a filter change. I’d say do your homework before posting. ..

So roughly 3500 miles on that fuel filter? What did you do to drain the tank before you removed it?

I didn’t drain it. I just drove until the volume was low. :)

@@teslamartin1789 so I just looked up oem parts for prices. O RING, FUEL PUMP 15201-35F00 $26.94 FILTER 15420-48G00 Suzuki 83.22 Did you or anyone here have any luck with aftermarket filters? I can't justify replacing these every few thousand miles for that price. That's ridiculous.

I always stuck with OEM. While I don’t know anyone that has tried after market, I don’t see why that would be a problem.

You can also remove the filter fron the pump by uncoupling it from its bracket this allows twisting of the filter to release without potentially loosing the clip, care must be taken when installing new filter as not to break the tang off of it. Remember to lightly grease the new o ring with Suzuki grease or equivalent to help it seal :)

Thanks. My shop is going to possibly change my fuel pump on my '07. I was wondering where it was and what it looked like. Nice Job. Ed
