This is a brief video I made for my own refence. It's a description of how a Suzuki TL1000R (and others I guess) slipper type clutch works as I've never come across this type before. The clutch is from my 2002 with about 11k miles.
Its not a true slipper, nor even a backtorque limiting clutch. Ive heard it refered to as a "forward torque increasing clutch".
I was trying to understand how this system worked and couldn't find any good information out there, so after I figured it out I made this video so I wouldn't forget.
I uploaded it so that others who also need to know or are simply interested, can get a better idea of it.
I may have got some of the terminology wrong, but you get the jist regardless. If there's anything else glaringly wrong, please feel free to correct the information with a comment. Its hard enought to get your head around a system like this without being misinformed.
Cheers.
