Hey fellow riders, thank you so much for tuning in! I just wanted to let you know that I am planning to do a long-term review of this bike, so if you have any specific questions about it, leave them here and I will address them in my review. Thanks a lot. Be well and always ride safely.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I've been riding since 1964 and I never let an air cooled motorcycle sit still with the engine running. The only way the engine is cooled is by the air flowing through the fins on the cylinder jug and head when the bike is moving. When the bike isn't moving the engine overheats. Your flyscreen looks good and is the perfect size. I ride on average 15,000 miles a year and I like to protect the fork tubes so dried bugs don't cut the oil seals when the forks are in action. You might want to think about having fork gaiters installed. Thanks for the video, I love single cylinder motorcycles, there is nothing like that thump thump thump to bring a person real enjoyment.

Hi Gene. You bring up an interesting point about letting the motorcycle sit still with the engine running. I try not to leave it, and when I do, I do not do so for prolonged periods of time. Truth is I am still getting used to this type of engine--all my previous bikes had liquid-cooling systems. Thanks for the feedback. So far, though, this bike has proven to be a trooper. Super reliable.

Just took a riding course over the weekend and this was these were the bikes we were using! I absolutely love the vintage styling and I think this will be my first purchase when I get my own.

Couldn't agree more, Mike! This will remain one of my most precious bikes ever. I hope Suzuki resumes their production. In case you don't know, Suzuki decided discontinued these last year, which is such a terrible shame. Thanks for your feedback and wish you all the best. Be well and ride safely.

Ever since you ditched the 250 TUX your viewership has waned. 😲 There's something about the loveable little guy that keeps fans returning to hear the latest news from the TU Front. I was at a store today with the TU parked outside.. the place was buzzing. What year is it! someone asked.. The female cashier yelled out as I was exiting.. is THAT your bike?? It's beautiful!! Of course everyone had to turn and look.. then I rode off still wearing my mask looking like a complete dork. I'm sure no one noticed me, they were looking at the bike! lol

Ha, ha, ha. There is some truth to what you're saying about my viewership, John 😀. On the flip side, though, the Guzzi is growing on me a bit and will allow me to go touring the northeast this summer. Also, I really have not had any time to post anything in the last few months. I hope all is well with you. Thanks for sticking around.

@@ReluctantBikerNYC I always look fwd to any new uploads and would like to hear about your Guzzi.. but my experience with the TU vs my more manly 650 Interceptor and Himalayan is enough to give the two bigger bikes (and me) a complex. lol 😆

Hi brother. Good question. I considered at least nine other bikes. I posted two videos explaining my process for those who find themselves in the same position I was in. Here is the link to Part 1: kzitem.info/news/bejne/k618zY2MpHpkiYY and Part 2: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rq-mmqRroX16jaw This process of choosing your first bike is easier if you know what type of bike do you like: standard, standard classic, cruiser, sports, dirt, or adventure. But it's okay of you do not know. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

If you need more top-end speed you can get a rear sprocket with 2 or 3 less teeth

Maadhu, yes, this is a pretty good bike. But I thought Royal Enfield made pretty good bikes. Before buying this TU250X, I actually considered for a brief moment the Himalayan, which is a very different bike.

@@maadhujovi9528 The new Meteor 350 from RE looks like a considerable advancement from the Thunderbird. It appears that they took the Himalayan engine and reduced it's displacement a bit.
