I saw her in a concert featuring herself and Hal Ketchum in '95 or so at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara CA. Two great classic Country artists on stage together. During a 9 or 10 minute kick-ass performance of "Past the point of rescue", Suzy joined in for some of the jamming on guitar at the end. I also have fond memories of dancing the Pony Swing in competition to a lesser known song of hers called Fear of Flying. Love you Suzy

Its kind of funny I grew up listening to Suzy Boggus, Wynonna Judd, George Strait and many others never realizing I was listening to country music at the best it would ever be. Today's country is such garbage it is not even country music no heart soul put into the lyrics. Now I find myself always listening to the same music I grew up too because it is real country music. She was such a beautiful women and a excellent voice. I wish she would have came out with more music.

+Daniel Berry Country music as we know it, hit its peak in the 90's. I listen to a lot of country spanning back to the 50's. The stuff that is on the radio today is a damn shame, political correctness has gotten its hooks into it, and it's all blonde cupkakes singing songs about their last relationship, or some beefcake idiot with ripped sleeves and a backwards ball cap trying to legitemize his country roots.....and he's never even ridden a damn horse or even set foot on a farm! I'll keep listening to Waylon, Johnny, Merle, and Willie....REAL country music, haha:-)

Daniel Berry TODAY'S COUNTRY IS SO FAR FROM GARBAGE IT AIN'T EVEN FUNNY. IT IS LITETALLY JUST AS COUNTRY AS ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY'S MOUTH FROM THE 80s AND 90s. ALSO DUMB SHIT SUZY IS ONE PERSON SO YOU CAN'T USE THE WORD WOMEN. WOMEN IS PLURAL AS IN MORE THAN ONE. AND THE STUFF YOU LISTENED YO GROWING UP IS AS MUCH REAL COUNTRY AS ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY'S MOUTH FROM TODAY'S COUNTRY RADIO. AND FROM THE PEOPLE YOU LISTED YOU SOUND LIKE YOU WERE A KID IN THE 90S. GUESS WHAT I WAS BORN IN 1993. I LISTENED TO 90s COUNTRY AS A KID. AND GUESS WHAT THE STUFF I LISTEN TO TODAY (LUKE BRYAN BRAD PAISLEY JASON ALDEAN LUKE COMBS JUSTIN MOORE EASTON CORBIN BRANTLEY GILBERT BLAKE SHELTON MIRANDA LAMBERT CARRIE UNDERWOOD SAM HUNT THOMAS RHETT AND SO ON) IS JUST AS COUNTRY AND TALENTED AS THE STUFF FROM 90s I LISTENED TO AS A KID FROM FAITH HILL TIM MCGRAW SHANIA TWAIN GEORGE STRAIT KENNY CHESNEY TRISHA YEARWOOD GARTH BROOKS BROOKS AND DUNN DIXIE CHICKS JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY TOBY KEITH ALAN JACKSON GEORGE STRAIT TRACY LAWRENCE PATTY LOVELESS PAM TILLIS ARE ALL PEOPLE I LISTENED TO AS A KID AND THEY SOUND NO DIFFERENT THAN THE STUFF FROM TODAY'S COUNTRY STATIONS

Daniel Berry AND YOU THINK TODAY'S COUNTRY IS GARBAGE. APPARENTLY YOU THINK THE STUFF YOU LISTENED TO AS A KID IS GARBAGE AS WELL BECAUSE IT IS JUST AS MUCH COUNTRY AS THE STUFF FROM TODAY SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON A SUZY BOGGUSS VIDEO FOR IF YOU THINK SHES GARBAGE. CALLING TODAY'S COUNTRY GARBAGE IS LIKE CALLING ANYTHING FROM THE TIME ERA OF THIS SONG GARBAGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOUNDS. IT'S JUST THAT TODAY'S COUNTRY HAS A MORE MODERN COUNTRY SOUND TO IT. HAD ANYTHING FROM TODAY CAME OUT IN THE TIME ERA OF THIS SONG IT WOULD SOUND EXACTLY LIKE THIS SONG

Country music tends to touch the soul I grew up listening to country and have always enjoyed the older music very much Country of the 80's ad 90's had a different feeling to it, now you've got artists like Taylor Swift and some others (Dont keep track of new artists) who have a different thought of Country than people like Suzy Bogguss Deana Carter Patty Loveless Trisha Yearwood Reba McEntire Loretta Lynn and many more Country for some reason just seems to touch the soul better than other music

Nemo here. I love her music. Her work with Kathy Mattea, Alison Krauss, her work on {"He Thinks He'll Keep Her"} at the Women of Country Concert in '93, etc., etc., etc.. One of my favorite clips is Suzy Bogguss singing for the President and First Lady {The Clintons} at the White House, doing {"Teach Your Children"} with Kathy Mattea and Alison Krauss. Another is the same song with the Red Hots, {Graham Nash and Kathy Mattea}, all 3 singing into the same {Red Hot} Condenser Microphone at a distance of 3 feet, more or less. It took incredible talent and experience and generosity from each of these Incredible Highly-Professional Singers to make it work. A once in a lifetime gathering of Melody and Harmony, and these three made it work, and made it look easy. It wasn't. They sounded like a Billion Dollars. Anybody who thinks she got where she has on looks has a tin ear. Her voice is spot on key, and identifiable from the first bar as Suzy Bogguss. Unique, Special, Hers Alone. She and the People who are part of her Projects Really Done Good. They've Impressed the Hell out of me, which ain't easy. Thank you to these fine People for all the Enjoyment and Appreciation over the years. I appreciate you Good Folks very, very much. Good Travels, Mate. She'll Be Right. The Wizard of Aus. {Nemo}. Your comment about today's country music discarding quality, substance, gloss-free and true country music sung by voices that could stand on their own and actually had talent is spot on. Today it's all about quanity over quality. Sad reality isn't it? Such is the reason I've fallen in love with country music of the 90's, and such artists as Suzy Bogguss here. She's an amazing singer!
