Let's explore the concepts of (svabhaav) and (dharm) through this video and understand how they differ from each other.
Dr. Vikas Divyakirti, who runs IAS coaching, shared his thoughts on this subject. He mentioned that one meaning of dharm is (svabhaav), and to illustrate this point, he gave several examples. For instance, he said that the (svabhaav) of fire is to burn, so its (dharm) is to burn. Similarly, the nature of water is to quench thirst, so its (dharm) is to quench thirst, and so on.
According to this perspective, if this is considered true, it would imply that the (svabhaav) of a thief is to steal, hence stealing becomes their (dharma), and so forth.
If you find this viewpoint not entirely convincing, let's delve into this video to learn about some elements that will clarify how (svabhaav) and (dharma) are distinct from each other.
