We'll compare Svelte 4's compile-time (store) based reactivity to Svelte 5's runtime (signal) based reactivity.
We'll also code our own rudimentary signal system so you get an idea of how it works. Note that the actual implementation in Svelte is much more complicated!
Note that this is by no means a comprehensive rune video! It's just meant to go over the foundational difference between runtime reactivity and compile-time reactivity, to help dispel some of the "magic".
