Another reception video of NIST time station WWVH in Kauai, Hawaii, from NE Poland - this time using a "desktop" TEF6686 model and same 5-element LFA Yagi for the FM BC band.
This was shot some 3 hours after the original recording off SDRPlay RSP1 and SDR-Console, so they're hardly comparable, but it does show the "wonder chip" can indeed cope with such an extreme DX 🙂
For the recording, I set the radio's screensaver to turn the screen off after 3 seconds. I did plug in a common-mode choke between the radio and the antenna's coax, but there's still a small difference in noise when the screen turns off.
The radar sweeps you can hear interfering with WWVH have been persistently present most of the evenings & nights for many months now, covering 15000-15100 kHz, but I still don't know its origin nor purpose.
