This is definitely good enough for my TX22 Compact range toy.

Nice honest review. I have been trying to decide between the Sentinel and a 407k. Optics planet currently has the Sentinel for$129.....but I think I'll scrape together another $100 bucks and get the 407k.

That's a fantastic price for the Sentinel. You'll be really happy with the 407k though, I love mine. Thanks for watching!

Very wise decision. I bought a SwampFox to try. IMO it's literally airsoft grade stuff and not suitable for firearms. I removed it from the pistol in question and replaced it with a Holosun. I will never not buy Holosun in the future. I've had nothing but really good service from the Holosun optics I've owned. The SwampFox never seemed bright enough for bright daylight use out at our range. That rendered it useless for me. For me, I won't buy anything from SwampFox again.

@TheRange7 FYI I love my 407k...it's been great but I try another brand for 2 other pistols. I bought a Cyelee wolf and a wolf 2. After 6 months of use and multiple range trips I am convinced that Cyelee are equal to the entry level Holosun offerings....for half the price.

@@brenttuttle7268 Whoa, that's HUGE if it's true. So my question is, and seriosuly, I;m not being a wiseash. How many rounds do you shoot per range trip and how often do you go out to the range?
@brenttuttle7268
2 ай бұрын
@TheRange7 usually 100 rounds per 9mm pistol and 200 for 22LR. So those Cyelee optics probably have 400 rounds each at this point. Both holding zero with no adjustments since initial zero. I have one on my dedicated full size nightstand gun and one on my winter EDC. Honestly I feel like they are on par with Holosun 407k or 407c. As with anything you could wind up with a lemon....but the two I bought have exceeded my expectations.

I scooped mine from optics planet for 129, love it so far. You can tell its not exactly high quality but i think for a tange gun it will do. On my daily i run the mecanik and that quality is much better on the auto bright one. For the sentinel i use the manual.

I have both optics and I really love the sentinel. My only complaint is in full sun, I feel like the holosun is just a bit brighter. In any other situation the swampfox is much more visible for my eyes

Definitely experience this too. The Holosun dot is also crisper for me vs the sentinel (I have astigmatism). Both great units though. Thanks for watching!

Got the Swampfox for my Hellcat RDP and I have a Solar Holosun for my AR. Now I regret not getting the solar for my Hellcat.

Just sent mine back because it won’t hold zero and turns itself off. Sad, because I really liked it before I put a few hundred rounds through it.

Mine did the same after 200 rounds. I really wanted to like it, but I'm not sure I could trust it, even if they fix it. Still have to send mine back.

Hi there, I just bought a Swampfox Sentinel for my Canik Tp9 Elite SC and I see a kind of reflection on top of the red dot, it has a c shape but backwards, it shows only at outdoor light and on certain objects. I hope you can help me out with this, I couldn't find anything online. Thanks

Great video! Did your optic come with the plate specific to a Canik?
@realpracticaltactical
Жыл бұрын
It did not. The mounting plate you see in the video is the one included with the Canik. The Swampfox does come with a bottom plate, but it's not a mounting plate; it just sits in between the battery and the slide. Thanks for watching!

Does it come in 7075 aircraft grade aluminum with an ipx 7 water resistance rating?
@realpracticaltactical
8 ай бұрын
Correct. The Sentinel's body is 7075, and it's IPX7 rated for water...so it can withstand 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It's important to note that it's NOT rated for dust (hence the X in the rating). Thanks for watching!

What are the white marks?

They're a quick way to see if the screws have loosened (and thus have affected the optic's zero). Half of the line is on the body of the optic, and the other half is on the screw head. If the two halves don't line up, the screw has moved. You'll see these lines on basically every pistol optic I have. I use a fine tip paint pen to make the lines. Thanks for watching!
