I usually get my bloodworms from the hawkesbury on the low tide around the mangroves dig them out

i live in Swansea, UK and the winter is the whiting season for us and when we do fish for them we tend to use squid or mackerel as bait as it is cheap i don't understand why people waste there time digging in the winter as the worm go down or even wasting money on just a few worms because worms are expensive,we catch hundreds out here of our jettys on fish baits and funny enough yesterday i had a lb 4 oz whiting my new pb whiting,they are stunning to eat! and british whiting look different

Mate, we use live pink nippers (yabbies) when ever we get up to swansea. Being from sydney we pump the sand flats out at Bundeena in the national park and take them up with us.

You can use 12lbs but go lighter use 6 to 8 lbs. You'll have better luck with the lighter leader. Cheers Dave

Use a size 6 circle hook and just 3cm of worm. Works really well for me.

Yes mate but all the sand flats work the same in that area.
