I love seeing how you use the Tombows Katie, it always encourages me to be looser and less 'control-y' in how I use them. 😍

Thanks so much Eve 🥰 I find they really help me draw loosely and it's so good for not having to wait for the base layer to dry! 💜

Your foxglove looks beautiful, such an interesting looking flower 😍 Your drawings using tombows always inspire me to draw with mine, they are really fun to pair with colored pencils. I love a good alcohol marker, but in my sketchbook I like tombows since they don’t bleed through. I have a small collection of colors that I bought over time, but your swatches definitely gave me some inspiration for some new colors 😄 Great video like always 🩷

I like seeing how you use these. I like brush pens but I prefer the Fabre Castell Pitt Brush Pens. I have been collecting them for so long I think it would be hard to transition to the tombow ones. I like the Pitt pens because they are waterproof and I can work on top of them with various mediums and they done run.

The flowers are so so beautiful! I really admire your flowy style as I always say. ❤ As someone who shies away from wet media like watercolor and gouache (cause I'm so bad at it 😂) this video is extremely helpful! You've inspired me to use my markers more! Thank you Katie! ❤❤❤

Thanks for teaching us, Katie! So pretty and I want to see if I have some of those pretty color/s you use - esp the purple-gray and the greens and pink. (Oh, every color in the first flower essentially) Did you always tend to go in without a sketch? I want to be more loose and free but I’m afraid to let go of control. 😅

Thank you so much, it's my pleasure! I haven't always, I used to start with a sketch and used to do quite realistic work! I was finding that it put me off creating because it felt like an extra step before getting to the 'fun' part (for me!) and I really wanted to loosen up. I started loosening up by working with fast timers (5-10 minutes!) so I didn't have time for the sketch, and built my way up that way! 😄💛

I hate using waterbased pens like these ones. They look so streaky on paper. You cant do many layers without damaging the paper. They are great for hand lettering, but actual art? Nope. Not for me at least.
