The name Saltair Lip Oil Balm is the perfect way to describe these. They have the soft, cushy texture to qualify as a lip balm, but with a shiny finish to help with longevity.
When I first applied it, I got hit with a vanilla-coconut scent. This scent had a burnt quality that reminded me of crème brûlée, which made it pleasurable to reapply.
When it comes to lip balms, I prefer a stickier, thicker texture. I want moisture, not just a shiny product that sits on top of my skin. Because these Saltair balms have a thinner texture than the Summer Fridays and Cay Skin lip balms, I was bracing myself for disappointment. Fortunately, this lip oil balm started sinking into my lips within ten minutes. Despite having a less shiny finish, longevity was great against the cold, dry winter air.
Another thing that lasted was the pigment. These lip oil balms are so saturated they could easily be worn as a tinted lip balm on my complexion. If you’re lighter than me, the pigment will show up even deeper on you.
