@8:05 mrsi fires up to 6 rounds in rapid succession, each with tweaked trajectory and powder load to shorten the travel time per shot fired for simultaneous impact. you have no time to react once you hear the first impact, the area will be saturated within a few seconds. now add to the fact that the units communicate and sync up, letting them coordinate this strike with every unit that is in range and available to hit at the same time.
@okaldhol

This is a very significant advantage, and cannot be overstated. It means that a battery of 6 guns can land 36 rounds at a target at the same time, without any warning. They can then be on the move within 20 seconds.

Regarding the Leopard2 tanks, they are upgraded according to the Swedish standard, Stridvagn 122 = Leopard 2A5
@FXGreggan.
17 күн бұрын
If you want to get technical it's based on the "2A5 Improved" with additional armor beneath and on the top, better ammo storage, improved fire - command - and control software and electronics (from what I've read you can select multiple targets and the gun automatically slews and fires and moves on to the next target but perhaps this is standard on 2A6+, I have no idea), improved fire protection of the engine bay. Better smoke, chaff & flare dispensers to protect against ground radar and IR seeking missiles from GALIX. And I'm sure lots of smaller fixes too... The only drawback I can see is the shorter barrel but the reasoning there was that it would be better in our dense forrests and urban terrain and they tried to offset that by a more more powerful APFSD-S round I think it was...

Stridsvagn 122 (MBT) of the Swedish army : Main article: Stridsvagn 122 Based on the Leopard 2 Improved, Stridsvagn 122 is a Swedish Army tank. 120 units were built, 91 of which were licence-produced in Sweden. The tank features increased armour on the turret top and front hull (3000 kg) and improved command-, control- and fire-control systems. Externally, it can be distinguished from the Leopard 2A5 by the French GALIX smoke dispensers, different storage bins, and the much thicker crew hatches. The Strv 122B+ Evolution, a variant equipped with modular AMAP composite armour from IBD Deisenroth, has increased 360° protection against threats like EFPs, RPGs and IEDs. The width of 4 metres (13 ft) has been kept, while the weight increases by only 350 kilograms (770 lb).

Sweden is supplying Strv 122, that may be based in the Leo 2, but is indeed a much better tank, with "hivemind" aiming, for example (a tank can aim out a tank, a JAS-39 or another tank takes it out, without IR-painting the target... Yup, Swedes are advanced! That is why they have stayed out of war for 200 years... And Russia should really be afraid; Sweden is the reason why Russia is named Russia!
