So, I did this with a Solo Campfire, except with a slight change. I cut all the sticks shorter than the lip of the Solo. It was wonderful. Used a tripod to cook a pot of chili, a grill for some brats…excellent. Cut a pile of extra fire wood, approximately six inches to stoke the Campfire, so much easier than a big, loose campfire…and cheap, easy to find fuel.

That was super hot at the end, I've never seen so much blue flames (the hottest) in our Breeo yet! That thing must have been close to 2,000 degrees!

I thought it was really cool. I wonder how long it burned? Seemed like quite awhile. If you don’t have a separate fire pit, could grill on charcoal, then set this up for after dinner around the fire. I’m sure no one uses this for emergencies, but good to see a use if needed to. Where I live, if power was out in a zero cold snap, it would be warmer outside around a fire, (maybe with a reflector), than inside. That said, as a widow, I don’t spend the price tag on meat anymore in probably even five years. But sure fun to watch n remember those fun backyard days. Thx for the vid -

Give me a time stamp so I know what you’re referencing. The outside of mine is coreten steel which oxidizes

Why would you want to do this? It seems like it would be quite warm, but that shot of embers flying everywhere when it collapsed scared the pants off me. I live out west, and I would have been shot on sight by my neighbor if I let something like that happen at my old house, even if I had soaked the area around the fire pit.

why would I want to do this? Why would Columbus sail the ocean, the Pilgrims to the new world, Louis and Clarke the northwest passage, why go to the moon? We choose to do these things not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win. Also I live in a damp swamp with zero risk of starting fires.
