I love this film. There is something special about foot launching. The Swift is the result of a great team effort and a credit to all involved. The camera work editing and choice of music are a reward for all of us who are facinated by flight. Thank you.

Couple questions: 1. what's price of this glider? 2. is it hard to learn to fly it if you have paragliding experience? 3. how is safety in comparison to paraglider?

It's also a Swiftlight but without the shell/cocoon. You can choose whenever you want it enclosed like a sailplane or totally openair hang glider.

Almost all the research I've done on this company and product (Swift) seems to be from the late '90s early 2000. A few questions I have: 1. What does ATOS stand for? 2. Is this company still in existence? Their website, aeriane.com appears outdated and possibly obsolete. 3. Is there production and/or distribution in the U.S.? If so, what would be a website I could visit (in English) that may provide info 4. How much would this glider cost in U.S. dollars? Thanks!

How easy is it too land a swift in constricted air fields? The swift in the last few seconds of the video seemed to have less ground effect than my Mark IV but I couldn't tell how fast of a headwind he was landing in. The eastern US where I fly has a lot of fields but they aren't wide open like that...there are a lot of woods in between the fields. Also, how is the view looking forward? Is it constricted?

The SWIFT was originally designed with no rudders (they were fixed), but I have seen a rudder. Is it a new design or is it home made? Do you control it with your feet? I ask because only a joystick is shown here.

I own a glider pilots license, would I be allowed to fly one of these? Or do I need another certificate?

Isn't it a bit safer to fly it than to fly a paraglider? I fell down when flying on a paraglider because of a front-stall, when a rotor wind hit my wing causing deflation. This would not have happened with a glider like Swift, I suppose, so my bet is - it's safer because it takes some of the unpredictabilities of a paraglider away.

Well, a paragliding experience is a good start. A handgliding experience would be better. If you could fly a few hours on sail plane, you'd than be on top of things. Here, the main difference with paragliding is the speed and the flying angles. The synetic energy is much higher. When it comes to safety, it like piloting anything: you've got to be trained. Price is about 30k€ fully equiped

However, even if you are legal doesn't mean you are safe and capable to fly it. You should get trained anyway
