i got this helmet and the liner today. my liner has 4 clips. i paid 40 dollars at a surplus booth at a gun show.

@@cattatron cool. i used to live on mt hood in oregon for 15 years. and i made hundreds of survival videos. gun videos. real and airsoft. archery. fishing. camping rafting and i used all my army gear in my videos. all kinds of gear. i bet i did 700 videos that use army gear. i moved off the mt 3 years ago but i do some military gear videos from flea markets and things from time to time still

Have been collecting Swiss surplus for over a year now. I love most of thier stuff. I find thier approach interesting. I to have an M71 helmet, but no, i wasn't aware of the d ring. Mine does not have one. Thank you for the info

In regards to the 'D ring', would a user be allowed to wrap a cord or piece of cloth around the d-ring to provide a thin cushion layer around the metal?

I'm not being mean to those countries, but this and the Danish 1923 helmet are probably the dorkiest looking helmets of the whole 20th century.
