SWR..."Shit Works Right"...best product endorsement quote ever! Still have my 2002 SWR 2x10c and Workingman 1x15 extension cabinet, bought it used in 2007 and to this day is still sounds friggin' AWESOME! Too bad Fender killed off yet another great company by fixing stuff that wan't broke, huh?

I still has a black and chrome Bass 350 (non x) and run it through a LDS 2x15. Amazing blues rock tone and even without the tweeter enough highs to get a good funk tone

I suppose it's not surprising there are so many Tobiases being played here. They were hot shit in the early 90s. I still have a brochure from about 1994. Tobias/SWR was then as Fodera/Epifani is today. There just wasn't a lot of quality stuff to compete on the market yet. I had two Tobias Signature basses back in the day that I miss a lot. Haven't seen this before. Very cool. Very funny. I swore by SWR for years too. Started with the SM-400S/Goliath then got a Baby Blue II for upright/studio and then traded up to the SM-900/Goliath II. I still have the Baby Blue II and it's everything people said it was. Amazing preamp and great little monitor.

I'm quite late to the game having had my 6x10 and 750x but I get all the tones I dreamed of. Anyone else heard they made 6x10 cans for Jeff Ament first?

Still have my "Shit Works Right" t-shirt and three SWR logo tees. Sadly my 1st gen Henry the 8x8 and 2nd gen Triad are long gone. The Henry was the best compact cabinet of my life. Celestion bass speakers all in parallel on same baffle in common vented chamber was a wall of sound.

Another one that we lost way too soon. I always love the work Tim did on those JJ Cale albums but I also really liked it when him and Jim keltner would hook up. 🙏

I first learned of him after watching Dylan’s awesome early-80s Grammys performance of Gotta Serve Somebody, and wondering who the long-haired bassist absolutely jamming was!

Man, it's a shame SWR is almost faded to black. I remember as a teen, still in my beginner stage wanting so badly an Interstellar Overdrive preamp....one of my mentors used one and it was so badass.

The early nineties were not kind to eyewear trends. •I dig Phil, Danny, and Rob’s playing. 🤩 •Don’t really dig the back-pickup-soloed, fretless virtuoso cats. 🤢

To me, passive basses (P Bass) sounded like crap on SWR amps. I had one in the early 90’s and got rid of it quick and back to my trusty GK 400. active basses sounded better on them, but I never liked those either.

Steve was one of the main guys with Acoustic Corp bass amps way back. That’s why there’s so many similarities
