@@OvercookedSteakCamshaft is a controller type used on the S, K sets and DCM-DIM V sets. It is used to control electricity going to the motors. Gear growl is the noise the V sets and single deck trains make when power is applied to the motors, the noise comes from the gearbox.

@@Ali6359. tbh i have no idea where the gear growl sound is. I can hear an air compressor sounding-like thing, but that's really it that sounds "growly"

Please remember: that T-Set C-Set K-Set & S-Set is non AC motor trains, VVVF only use for AC motor trains, including the A/B-Set D-Set M-Set H-Set & Alstom Metropolis.

Great video! I really love the sound from the train motors. However, I agree with Thomas. VVVF is a kind of drive that changes DC to AC which has variable-voltage and variable-frequency. The output voltage of chopper module is a kind of pulse which has changable width(means changable average voltage) controlled by periodic opening and closing of the switches(such as GTOs) used in the chopper, and after the filter it becomes changable DC voltage. Therefore, we can find that voltage and frequency never change in a chopper module. In a word, I hold the view that chopper is absolutely not a kind of VVVF🤣If there is anything wrong, I would appreciate that someone points it out!!
