Young gay folk pay attention. This is why you have so much of the acceptance and freedom you experience today. It's people like Silverster and Boy George and so many others that were not famous, that dare to be themselves and stood up for us when it was not a popular thing to do.

I met Sylvester at a club called The No Name in Providence Rhode Island in 1985! He was a sweet kind down to earth human being! Children I was gonna loose it but he had a calming effect on me. I asked so many questions and he answered them all. Mind you he was touring with his Rock The Box album. He had a keyboard and a microphone & himself alone. He tore that place apart. That falsetto voice was amazing and he knew exactly what he was doing standing behind the synthesizer and dancing and singing his Ass off! Rise in power beautiful one!!!🎉🎉🎉💕💕💕😘

What an amazing entertainer he was. He wore several costumes, one under the other and as he went into another nonstop song, he would strip off one outfit to reveal another !! We went back stage after the show and he was extremely gracious. The world was just a wee bit nicer with him in it. and you toured together !
