Thank you for bring this topic up. I did that and yes it works but it is not like an exact sync? We can't move the audio precisely. I mean you can see in this video too, it is not right beneath where original audio starts. Because when we try to slide the audio it jumps way before/after the original spike.

Filmora 9 user here 🙋🏻♂️ Will you guys ever allow moving in the timeline down to the milliseconds like Davinci Resolve? Because as shown even in this clip we can’t perfectly match our audio exactly to the wave form but rather just roughly get it close enough. Incredibly frustrating that I can't sync audio perfectly. Since I'm mostly making music videos I get a lot of clicks and pops because the audio can't be lined up. This is so critical, please fix this!

How do you start a track by manually putting the exact start time, as in some cases we need to match the high spike in video and audio exactly and the pulling of track might not overlap perfectly.. Is there any way to link the audio and video together? so when you cut the video it will automatically cut the audio as well. I know you can pick both files and then cut but that takes more time and sometimes you may forget. Thank you!

I'm trying to match two separate recordings of two instruments done over time. The way the videos have come out they are less than a second out - but I only seem to be able to alter each trace by a second - therefore they never sync. I'm new to Filmora and editing - I have two audio clips and one video with audio and am trying to sync them all (singing melody with two harmony lines), and am running into the snag of one of the audio clips being half a frame off from the others, so no matter which way I position the clip, it's fast or slow by just a hair relative to the other two audios. The playhead/split marker won't let me work within a frame. Any tips for how to prevent this in future recordings or how to work with this issue in post? Thank you!

After recording a recent video I noticed that breath noises and lip-smacking were being picked up by my external mic (Rode NT-USB) into my Canon SL3. I'm wondering if I can export the audio to an mp3. Then use Audacity to silence the smacking. Then reimport the audio into Filmora and resync it (via the process in this video) to the original video. Thanks in advance for your time and effort. I always learn a lot from your tutorials.

I really enjoy these tips. I've been using this syncing technique for a while, and when the sound spike is a little indistinct, I add a marker to the audio file and a second marker to the video file where the clap occurs. But sometimes I struggle to line up the audio exactly to the video. Is there a way of nudging the audio file in very small steps until it aligns perfectly with the video?

Edited to add: I guess the current limitation of movement of the audio file in one frame increments will be less significant with higher frame rates. My main camera is just 25fps. With a 50 fps film, the misalignment would be half as significant, but at 25fps it can be visibly out of sync.

I'm having the same problem. There is no way to do micro adjustments and get the sound exactly lined up. I was hoping to use Filmora for creating "zoom" style music videos, but it's too hard to line all of the tracks precisely. Will probably need to look elsewhere.

As there are two different tracks each time I am forced to select both video and audio track to use "cut option". I just got the lifetime for Filmora 9. I am having issues with the audio repeating the same word over and over until it get to the next frame. How can that be fixed? With that going on it really hard to lesson to what is being said in the video to know if it is being edited the right way. It doesn't have that problem when I export the video. Only when I'am editing.
