Host OC:
The Kia Standard Audio System is designed to optimize sound quality -- and control -- inside the cabin.
In this video, we’ll show you how to adjust the Sound Settings on the head unit.
Start by pressing the SETUP key or the SETUP button on the Home screen to get to the SETUP screen. Then select the speaker icon labeled SOUND.
This will take you to the Sound Settings screen.
From here, you have several different options:
Position …
Volume…
Tone …
Priority …
Advanced…
Default…
And Beep.
The POSITION button allows you to change the center point focus of the sound inside the cabin.
The center position is the default.
Use any of the four directional arrows to adjust the sound center to your liking - front to back, or left to right.
Select CENTER, to return to the default, concentrating the sound in the center of the cabin.
The Volume button lets the driver set the individual volume levels for Broadcast, Media and Ringtone systems.
From the TONE screen, drag the sliding bar or press the PLUS or MINUS to adjust the Bass, Midrange and Treble controls as desired.
Press the CENTER button to restore the default settings.
The Priority button sets the Start-Up Volume Limit, which is a pre-set for how loud the volume will be, the next time you start the vehicle.
And the Back Up Warning Prioroity checkbox lowers all other audio volumes then the vehicle is shifted into reverse.
Selecting the ADVANCED setting lets you turn the Speed Dependent Volume control on or off, with this checkbox.
The DEFAULT option re-sets the system back to the original factory settings.
And lastly, you can choose to have the system beep or be silent when pressing buttons.
Customizing your sound settings is another way to enhance your listening and driving experience with Kia.
