A systematic literature review is a type of review with a very narrow scope that collects a few research studies and summarises them to answer a research question using rigorous methods. The systematic review is very specific and focused. A systematic review reflects the specificity of its narrow research question. Systematic reviews (SRs) identify, collate, and systematically summarize empirical evidence from six to ten or more primary research studies. SRs attempt to minimize bias/error in the review process - through a systematic, empirical process that values transparency. Based on protocols that outline explicit ex/inclusion criteria - Document transparent search strategies. It can synthesize findings qualitatively or quantitatively (via meta-analysis).
