I was part of the Beta and it was awesome in the sticks where I was living at the time. I found out that the speeds are very similar to what you'd get on your cell phone. So if you are curious on what speeds you can get, just use your phone and run a few speed tests around the house for a rough #. At 30mbps in the LTE Beta days, I was able to stream live HD TV pretty flawlessly. I was also able to game on my PC, something it would struggle with on the 10mbps CenturyLink offered me. Just note, the speeds can fluctuate a lot depending on time of day or events where you'd have a large load of people on the tower you're connecting to.

I have had this device for 2 weeks and so far it's awesome. I have had speeds over 280 mbps every single day. I have not noticed any glitches. I have used Netflix, and other streaming sites and have not had a single issue. I put the unit on my bedroom dresser (not next to a window) and I have had 4 bars and up to 5 bars. I will give it 2 more weeks and then I will KO Xfinity. Thank you for your video.

I forgot to add that downloading and using the App was extremely easy. Scanning was easy. The only issue I had was that the unit was not communicating with my cell phone even though, my phone recognized the Mobile device. I got frustrated and was going to call customer service the next day. Well, the next day I powered up the device and it recognized my phone right away. I added the device to my PC and it has worked great. My roommate has an old laptop with windows 8. I tested his speed and it was around 90mpbs from the xfinity wifi and it was not picking up the new T-Mobile internet. He needs to modernize. He is going to purchase a new laptop and I am sure his speed will quadruple.

I just got the "trash can" T-Mobile 5G yesterday. After a little trouble setting it up (tech support took care of all my problems) it has worked quite well. I had the old LTE system and this is much faster. I read a while ago that if you were to take the router in say your RV that it will work where ever there is a T-Mobile 5G tower. I have not tried that yet. You got the newer 5G and I will eventually request that upgrade but for now I am very happy with the results. By the way I never had any trouble with the LTE but I am not a gamer.

I just switched to T-Mobile as well. Their 5g is leagues ahead of the competitors in terms of coverage. The only thing is the speeds aren't insane as of yet. I will switch between 4g and 5g and do speed tests and it does consistently get I'd say 30% faster speeds than 4g, although in relatively rare instances, 4g can actually be faster, admittedly in a non scientific test where I'm just running speed tests.

Maybe once a month or so I will see very slow internet. When I do, I restart the router from the app on my smart phone, and so far that has always resolved the issue. On a bad day, I'll see download speeds in the 100-200Mbs range. On a good day I'll see it in the 600 Mbs range. The upload speeds often get up in the 70Mbs range, which is way better than I ever got from any other provider. Identical experience for us as RVers with Starlink, Verizon and now T-mobile "home" internet. Starlink had a great honeymoon period, but because I need latency and jitter stability, I find myself relying solely on a bonded VPN from Pepwave to cover for Starlink's drop outs (duplicating packets via our Verizon LTE plan), 5mbps upload, daily outages, etc. Working on testing out external antennas on the same black box you got, excited to see if this can be our primary plan. We also have it 12v wired now which is far superior to the off grid power needs of Dishy V2.

My device has the 12th Gen Corei3 processor and I have no issues with it so far, oh, the battery is not charging but it's always plugged in and it's only important if you move it and I don't need to move it as the reception is stable where it's been since I moved in. I've had Tmobile for about 2 months now. I must say I'm really impressed with it. During winter storms I notice zero drops in speed. The only issue I encountered seems to be consistency. Sometimes my download is 100 and then it'll randomly go up to 250. Latency is another issue but at its worst it's been at around 60 ms. Today has been the worst day with the service where my download has gone down to 20 MBPS. We are experiencing high winds of up to 50 miles per hour, so I'm pretty sure that's what causing the drop in speed. Uploads been very consistent since day 1 hitting between 20 to 30 mbps. I haven't experienced any issues with the bandwidth. If I didn't run a speed test I wouldn't of noticed how low it dropped. This is a big recommend. I'm going to hold on to it for 5 more months to see how it does as more people adopt it. Hopefully it'll hold up.

I had Spectrum and Att uverse for years, and since the lockdown both ISP's sucked. I had zero stability and had issues with everything, phone Teams, Zoom, and gaming. Never had these issues before covid and it's something the ISP's in my area have been unable to fix or able to. As soon as Tmobile was in my area I got my internet back, stable and faster. Placement is key, move a half an inch and you will go from 200 to 150. I can get around 300 - 500, and since I use my own router I learned I had to change my MTU settings to match the tmobile modem to get better and stable speeds. My only issue is that I don't have my own public IP address, so VPN back to my router requires a 3rd party to allow me to VPN in, and I rather not use Google or Amazon services as a proxy since I want my privacy when it comes to my local area network, anyways most of my smart devices are on a separate network and cant see my regular local traffic. I have the 5G gateway connected via E-net to my Asus router to my Win 7 64GB desktop. All of my dozen or so devices connect to the Asus router. Setup was much as this guy said: multiple crashes, multiple downloads of the smartphone app - I think it took me over an hour to get everything up and working. The good news though is it is fast and reliable. Download in the 450mb range and 20mb upload. Pings are somewhat slow and inconsistent and range from 20-70 with the norm being around 50. Fine for me though as I am not a gamer. I did find that running a VPN on the PC does demand a penalty of about 50% of download speed so I don't use it constantly. The gateway has been in constant use for over a week and has been reliable - no failures. Since I don't use the gateway as a router I wish I could turn off the radios but that isn't possible at the moment. That might help with the heat (which hasn't been an issue yet but then it isn't summer here yet).

I went all the way out to Idaho in Boise and was able to use it instead of crappy hotel Wi-Fi. I live in Montana! Is it technically supported? I don’t really know, but I don’t really care either. It’s kind of something that I pay extra for his redundancy at my house, even though that I have spectrum cable Internet

I have a few apps that require certain ports to be accessible. These ports are open on my router, and i don't have any issue using the apps w/ Comcast. If I just use my router plugged into the T-Mobile device via ethernet (and not the WiFi functions of the device), would I have any problems w/ T-Mobile?

I got T-mobile Arcadyan gateway yesterday and usually would get around 400-500mbps down on my phone on 5G-UC but can't pass 180mbps download on the gateway. Not impressed. I moved the gateway in to at least 10 different locations throughout the house. I'll stick with Spectrum for which I pay $50/m for 400Mbps consistent down speed. Really wanted T-mobile gateway as I was getting it for $30/m 😒

I recently switched to T-Mobile after 32 years with ATT, who never once appreciated my business, they just kept jacking up rates, changing programs and made me sign up for 2 years , and often throttled back my data. I even had DirecTV for those 32 years, and they gave me $10 off as a bundle. Woo Hoo. Along came T-Mobile, cut my rate in half, at $45/line gave me endless 5G unthrottled data, free netflix for life, free appleTV for life 12 months paramount +, a year of AAA for free, and $800 each tradein of my Iphone XR's for free new Iphone 14's. The best part, my internet gateway monthly is $30 and I got 2 more for 2 other residences at $50/month, vs what I was paying for Fiber at $89/mo each for a paltry 250MBPS max. I was fortunate enough to be within 4 bar range, and my gateways consistently are pushing 500-625 MBPS

in the excact same situation. with starlink i can only go to 1700kbps max on obs or my chat starts to lag and cant see what people are saying, also dropping down to 400kbps randomly. some nights getting disconnected every 15 to 30 sec too, very unstable upload. waited 9months and tmobile internet is on its way, supposed to be here today and cant wait to try it out.

Have the Nokia for about a year, we would be at the limit for service as I get 2 bars that is very close to 3 bars no matter where I put it, even tried outside. I would like Tmobile to improve signal strength in southeast Texas. Typically get 25 down, 80 if your lucky, not great for an evening together family. Sucks because another customer can be getting twice that for the same cost, alot of disparity in service, same as phones. Latency is not good enough for gaming, good enough for turn-based gaming. I am also using a fan to keep the nokia from having issues. A zoom meeting also has some issues but we don't use that much. Also if you are away from home and want to have a home camera security of any sort you apparently can't remotely check live views which we would really like to have. I also have a NAS device that I will be trying and hope that will work. Its important to note that this is not normal internet like fiber, dsl, cable, it is basically phone internet and with that come some limitations unfortunately.

There internet works great I get here in NJ 400mbps over wifi I never connected hardwire I never used it. I have the old cylinder type which is better then the new one you have for right now. The new version has problems. So stick with the cylinder looking version. Key is to get a very long extension cord and walk around the house to find best single but you also need to turn the gateway every 1/4 inch to half inch to change the service quality so you may think it's only three bars but then you turn the unit just a quarter to a half inch and now you have better service. One set up correctly to the best single T-Mobile works great for internet way better than Comcast that I had or Xfinity whatever they want to call themselves now.

I got rid of Xfinity. 100Mb/s for $50 on a 12mo contract. No contract it's $70/mo.BUT You only have 1.2Tb a month, which is like nothing. $50/mo for over 200mb/s and truly unlimited data is much better, and no contract. I live right outside a T-Mobile 5G Ultra Capacity tower, so I get the fastest possible connection.

I had the gateway for 2 days and sent it back.....it's not good at all. I have robust 5G in my hometown and get 300+ DL speeds on my phone but the Gateway could only pull 25-30 DL which is weak! I have very good and at times excellent signal strength. I signed up for the test drive and believe me trying to return it was a nightmare. I told them I did everything that I could to make it work and it just doesn't pull the speeds that I need. I had it by every window in my house both upstairs and downstairs. Something tells me though I felt as though it was being throttled or it was deprioritized data meaning I would be tapping into a tower that was just constantly congested! I feel as though it should work good out of the box and I shouldn't have to buy additional equipment to make it work well. I see a lot of people adding antennas to it and wifi extenders and doing all sorts of things to it....to me if the thing was built well to begin with you wouldn't have to do that.

I have tmobile internet and it isn't perfect. I probably would not use it as a professional gamer or if I mostly work from home if there were wired options. It is $50 a month, the terms are much better then cable or slower DSL and it generally just works great for casual internet usage.

From my experience (that includes working for them), T-Mobile is worse than Comcast as a company and in terms of odd billing. Not to mention they inherited Sprint’s problems with the merger.
@MrMarkRGraves

I have been a T-Mobile Home Internet user for a year. I have had ZERO problems with billing and it's pretty simple as the monthly cost is just $50 (no fees or taxes are added on - it's just always $50). Plus, they threw in free MLB-TV, Paramount+ free for a year, and $10 off per month on KZitem TV.

I have both the Nokia and Arcadyan TMHI gateways and have been testing them out in my home I've notice better latency with the Arcadyan but better bandwidth performance from the Nokia trashcan but both have very limited web GUIs but the Nokia's is still more functional than the non existent Arcadyan's options hopefully T-Mobile fixes this with firmware updates. With that being said it's still the Best option if you live in a rural area like me with only Dsl and traditional satellite internet options (Verizon 5G home has very limited availability compared to TMHI)
