"Enoshima denntetu line" is a small private railway with a length of 10 km that connects Fujisawa Station and Kamakura Station in Kanagawa Prefecture.
(The word dentetsu means electric railway.)
The line was opened in 1902, but the location of the line has hardly changed since then, and before we knew it, houses were lined up on both sides of the tracks.
The speed of the train was very slow and there was a time when it was considered to be abolished, but the train's ability to avoid traffic jams has been praised, and today it is used by many people as an enjoyable transportation in this region.
This video shows the view from the cab between Fujisawa Station and Kamakura Koukomae Station. Along the way, between Enoshima Station and Koshigoe Station, the tracks are laid on top of the road, making it a famous railway spot.
