Great analysis. Not sure people didn’t like Wenger and Mourinho’s teams. They played decent football and people didn’t expect it to last… which it hasn’t. Same with City, people don’t expect it to last when Pep leaves and the owners lose interest (and Newcastle get stronger). For me, the main reason no one hates them is that they have no history. They are not real rivals. They are like the mighty Owls, a team that will come and go. Football is ingrained in the social fabric, a team that was before 2008 just another mediocre Northern side will not suddenly become your biggest enemy. My two penneth. 長くなりました.
