Thanks for watching! I recently figured out a new weaving technique that looks really cool if you're interested it's a variation of the twisted weave. kzitem.info/news/bejne/lKma3WWnm5yUino

Folding the shirt in half collar to collar for an Evan cut. For cutting the back fold but grab just the back of the shirt and match the side seams together to make Evan straight lines but in half the time😉

I saw a video on Pinterest of a girl doing a heart shaped design, she weaved it all the way down and then weaved it back up, without cutting/tying it at the bottom, how do you do that?
@Unorthodoll
2 күн бұрын
That's a good question, if I don't cut the string at the bottom I sometimes tie it off with an extra piece of fabric. Some people sew the ends. I'll have to experiment with it

@@Unorthodoll thanks for the reply, but I actually meant tying all the way up and then, without cutting OR tying it off ect.. going back down, so like weaving it twice without cutting?

Do you actually wear these? How long do they last after they have been cut up? Is it actually practical to chop up your shirts? What fabric Tshirt do you use? 🤔🤔🤔
@Unorthodoll
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've never had one rip or break, upcycling is sustainable, I experiment with lots of different fabrics mostly Cotton blends. Good questions!

@@Unorthodoll is there a type of material you recommend most? I have a shirt I want to DIY, it's a graphic T but it's a kind of thick cotton stretch blend 🤔🤔

@@Unorthodoll awesome. I'm always so nervous that it'll fray like crazy and unravel, I'v seen some cotton knit fabrics get them little spiral fray dangly bits before if you know the thing I mean! :O
