This is the second episode of our T4 camper conversion series. The first episode covered the basics of turning a van into a livable camper. In this episode, we'll focus on making the van more comfortable for travel and van life. While these amenities aren't necessary for using the camper van, they certainly make the experience more pleasant.
We've added a 2 KW diesel heater, a proper camper window, a kitchen drawer with a sink, a gas stove, and a swivel base to our passenger seat. All of these upgrades are great, but I have to say that the swivel seat and diesel heater are my personal favourites. In a T4 camper van, space is at a premium and the swivel seat adds so much extra room. I now believe it's a must-have for any small camper van. The heater is also awesome, especially if you plan on travelling during the fall, winter, or spring. It makes the van feel like a real home, especially when you come back from a hike and the temperature drops. Just imagine, you're back from a nice autumn hike in the backcountry, it's around 6 PM, and the sun is setting. With a heater that can bring the temperature inside to 75 degrees within a few minutes, the experience is so much more comfortable.
Thank you for considering watching this episode and I hope to bring you a third episode in which we'll work on making the van look really nice.
