Tackle Preparation is an essential part of going fishing to any lake or pond. In this video I give a quick run through on lures I would take on my day to day bank fishing trips.
Planning for a bass fishing trip can be tricky. You have many things to consider when it comes to bass fishing. Pond size, Water clarity, water temp, air temp, wind conditions, bird blue skys, over cast, structure in the ponds and the list carries on and on.
So I have tips for you that I use all the time when I go bank fishing in ponds I don't know.
Tip Number 1: Do your research on the pond your going to fish. This will help you eliminate alot of lures from your tackle bag and it will make things abit more clear about what lures you need to use.
Tip Number 2: Keep your tackle as simple as possible. Try and fish with lures that you know will catch bass and use the lures that you have confidence in.
Tip number 3: If you do not find any information on the pond, take your confidence lures with you and try cover different water clarities. For example take a dirty water bait and a clear water bait.
Tip number 4: Try and travel as lite as you can. Reason why I am saying this is because you do not want to be uncomfortable carrying heavy weights while fishing.
The Baits I use all the time when bank fishing.
