You can tell you have a very gentle bloodline and a trusting herd. Mom didn't even tense up while your dealing with the calf. Heck it did even run off when you took the halter off.

Mama was VERY concerned! Does mama ever get aggressive when you have her calf? 🐮

Thanks...It is hard work, but with the rewards of working for ourselves and being able to have a mountain view like we do from our land to the Elkhorn mountains. They say we live in gods country. It is hard not to take it all for granted until going somewhere else for a while and noticing that there is not as much majestic beauty all around. Thanks for watching my videos.

Duane Chandler oh I’m sure. I get jealous watching the videos. 😬 you have the beautiful view that surrounds you. Your own farm. It has to be very rewarding. Be proud!!! Just keep the videos coming because I really enjoy them and only dream of what you doing!

Thanks for sharing. Love watching your ranch in operation. Looks like that Mama trusted you with her baby. She didn't look too agitated. We can feel your love of animals just by watching your videos. B Safe during these tense times in America's history.

The vaccines are a multi min shot for mineral deficiencies in our region. The other two shots are called Alpha 7 and Endovac. They cover a range of possible problem viruses and bacterium. The oral paste is a digestive boost and a guard against E-coli and other ingested bugs. The tag in the ear is labeled with the mother cows herd I.D. in order to keep them paired up and the tag color indicates the calf's father's bloodline. There is alot to do to a calf. We calve 500 in the spring.

Today I tagged 30 calves that were born in the last 24 hours. We are in peak calving season right now. We measure the hoof for birth weight calibration. Thanks for watching.
