We don't call them Chinese -Thai ... because you can hardly find anybody(Thai) in Thailand, especially in Bangkok that has no Chinese ancestor. So, basically, Thais , nowaday, are Chinese-Thai. However, their ancestors who migrated here from China might be a great grand father, a great great grand father or even before that. The real Thai blood line won't have light skin, so most of all Thai people you see in everyday life here in Thailand have Chinese ancestor ... they are majority. (Fun fact : thus time pass for generation, we are not really like Chinese) ... So, it's funny if you said the actors are Chinese -Thai cuz we all are. ............ Nowaday, do you know how people categorize who Chinese and who Thai ??? ... They look into the family and see how much Chinese culture and tradition still alive in the family. If you still have Chinese wedding in your family, If you still have single multi family financial fund (this family fund is like a company run by the eldest son and every brothers & sisters [who still not married off the family] work for this fund, no separate asset financially ... some kinda like Korean's Chaebol), If your family still celebrate Chinese New Year, If you still have to go pay respect to the ancestors in the ritual annually ....etc. Then you are a "Chinese -Thai" ... That's the perception of people here. Thailand is in the middle of South East Asia so this country has become a huge trade portal for millenniums, the biggest in the area (long before this country even exist) So everything here ... Blood, food, culture, arts, tradition,.... etc. are "Fusion". It's different from islands country like Japan because you can keep many things 'Pure' & 'Strong' and it made you more unique. Therefore, the uniqueness has created a deep nationalism. .... : )

It's very interesting because it's a completely different culture from the island nation of Japan. I hope that Japan will become more accepting of diversity like Thailand. (there is still very much racial discrimination in Japan...)

@@manyonaka While we seemingly have more tolerance in accepting different ethnicities/cultures - local or otherwise - racism still exists among us here unfortunately. The degree or aspects of racism may be different, though.

If Thai that held the Ching-ming festival in first week of April( go to cemetery for tomb sweeping.), They are Thai-Chinese descendents. 清明= お彼岸.タイ北のイスラム教の人も中華系が多い。
Golf & Mike are Thai Chinese, they have been entered the Buddish pristhood , but if you see Mike's son Matthew , no Thai will think he is Thai-Chinese, , when he grow up he will look like Mik ( another Thai famous actor) ,

A fan of Machida Keita here 🙋🏻♀️ kinda sad he’s not on the list 😂 There’s something I’d like to add. In my humble opinion, one thing about being Thai is the diversity. The languages, races, culture, food you name it, they’re quite diverse, even in the old days. Sometimes, I also find it difficult assume people’s ethnicity just by their appearance. I was born in an overseas Chinese-Malaysian-Thai family but since my nationality is Thai, I just regard myself as a Thai. Like I don’t mind telling people my ethnicity, but no one here really bothers judging me telling me who I am or what I should say how I should call myself, just because of my ethnicity, which makes me feel embraced and super normal. My friends here who have Pakistani and Vietnamese descents also feel the same way.

Liking your reaction for Thai Male's Superstar Ranking as you can give right details of profile more than me such Boy graduated from Pharmacies of CU....so I'm Thai-Chinese too with Thanks
My dad is Thai and my mom is from Sibsongpanna in the Southern of China but I was born and raised here in Thailand, I considered myself as a Thai not Thai-Chinese. Even though a lot of people in Thailand have a Chinese descent but they never felt that they are Chinese. And Win Metawin. He always calling himself a Thai. But if someone asks about his ethnicity, he will say that he has Chinese descent.
I like Kimmon SBFIVE he has pale skin, tall, not deep looking eyes and nose but doesn't have Chinese ancestor. and I also felt in love with Tae Darvid he has deeper eyes nose and darker skin but both parents has Chinese ancestor. this is how hard we can see now a day who is half or mix or pure blood.
