This is a commendable initiative dear Samantha and Alkesh. The amount of courage it takes for one to open up about a very private health condition is unparalleled and you have done is with a lot of grace Samantha. Thank you for doing what you do. Much love💝

Also, with fermented dosa batter, does the good bacteria die when we heat it to make dosa?

So you talking so much about probiotics and fermentation. When there is such basic idli and dosa batters which ferments overnight- why is that simple thing not mentioned in your podcast. Why are we looking for kimchi
@WellnessbyAlkesh
7 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question. The idea with the probiotic rich food is to consume them without requiring to be cooked after fermentation. Dosa and idli will have a better nutrient profile because of batter fermentation but we’ll lose microbes when we cook it. The reason to include Kanji, sauerkraut, and kimchi is the ability to prepare it at home and be able to consume it without cooking.

ACV doesn’t work for everyone , in some people ACV aggravates Acidity and it’s not a magic drink. Kumbucha, kimchi are all fancy food options. Other than kanji there were no more options discussed. I know it’s about Autoimmune diseases and your podcast will be consumed by Indians mostly, then why not discuss it well around Indian food habits. What is this kumbucha kimchi obsession. Like seriously 😒 most Indian households don’t know all this fancy foreign food. Go for your idli , dosas, kanji (as mentioned), homemade pickles, curd rice, Dhokla. Make your curd at home. Take some efforts to find A2 farm fresh milk in your city, they will home deliver. Make some curd. I was excited for part two but it was such a let down.

Yes, ACV can be helpful to individuals who have a compromised digestive function due to low stomach acid. We specified that in the podcast. Also, it is promoted as a temporary remedy rather than a fix. Another very important reason to include sauerkraut and kimchi in the list is to provide options to individuals who are on a carb-restricted diet.

Boss! All this is okay. You still haven’t given me a desi approach, eating kimchi and the other stuff mentioned is not sustainable in terms of food preferences for mainly Indians. I am surprised how you did not mention homemade pickles, buttermilk, home set curd, Gulkand (which is a fermented food and acts as a coolant for an inflammated gut or body), sol kadhi is one more options. Problem with this podcast is it does not discuss local or desi options and sustainable approach. Read my comment again, sorry to say options you guys discussed other than Kanji are just not traditional or sustainable. I do feel for Sam in all this, she is a sincere girl. Sam if you’re reading this please see a good nutritionist - Rujuta Diwekar. Who will help you with your food. Unlike this guy who has absolute no knowledge about Indian food culture/ habits. He is just yapping yapping yapping. He can monitor the technical stuff like looking at the report, but in terms of diet. You deserve better my girl. How long you are going to feed yourself kimchi and the other stuff. It’s not even sustainable for you. Well, I know too much free ki advice I am giving , just know it’s coming from a good place. Cheers X

I do agree with the comment Sam do more videos about Indian food which are accessible locally so that everyone can follow the diet bcoz of foods except kanji rest all r not known to Indians basically so it'll be helpful if u come up with local foods.Are else people will be in confusion like they know wt to eat as u r letting us know by ur podcast bt they donno how they're prepared and where they'll get it so it's better to suggest Indian foods and their preparation. @samantha@alkesh Tq

Even someone had productive day all day long,went on bed as early 10pm and still find its difficult to sleep. Would you both brief it more in coming days? How do you prepare to sleep Sam and what time do you go to bed and awake in the morning. Do you put phone alarm or body alarm? There’s so much question. Hope you come across this. Good job Sam, beauty with brain ♥️

Yogurt is a dairy product, I heard that autoimmune affected people should not have dairy products. Could you please give me some detailed information about it. Would I have yogurt or not? @ALKESHSHAROTRI
@WellnessbyAlkesh
7 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question. In my experience, the dairy consumption tolerance differs from person to person. But as a best practice, if we are wanting to include yogurt, it's is best to make one at home from organic A2 raw milk. But if yogurt still isn't suting you, the last measure could be tempering (tadka) the yogurt before taking a call on stopping the yogurt completely.

Hi sam, u r doing a really great job. Thank you for coming up with the podcast a small suggestion from my side is that pls do list how a person with auto immunity needs to eat like all the recipes,wt foods need to eat and wt they should avoid, exercises as my sister had diagnosed with this recently I'm watching every podcast of urs now she's on steroids which is making her put weight and we all know that's not good to take tablets bt it's better to change our life style and our eating habits.so pls make a video about food, exercises and day to day life style.

After years of research i have found 1.Taking Morning sun for 15 min sets your rhythm of body - said by huberman 2. If you can afford it take AG1 - huberman takes it 3. Eating fermented foods is important 4. Variety of plants and fruits are very important for gut. 5. Eat seasonal and culture wise 6. Morning detox - coconut juice or petha juice 7. Eating foods from nature - energy is transferred from one form to another. 8. Whatever you see in market everything is meant for sell not good for your body so try to find organic direct from farm 9. Excercise is very important, we are meant to do something not just sit and work.

Samantha, this has been one of the most useful health podcast that I’ve watched in recent times. Most of them talk about gut health, but none of them have explained what happens if we don’t eat food the right way. Due to work, i was stressed a lot & used to have lunch in hurry, which actually messed up my gut health. Take a bow Alkesh!! You really explained what happens if food is not eaten right! I wish we have more people like you talking about basic and most important things and spreading awareness. Thanks a lot Sam! Always been a fan of your work. This is something very useful information that you’ve shared. Since I’ve experienced this, i know how important this information is. Definitely Going to share this video with my friends & family. ❤️ it’s not that you’ll read my comment, but I wanted to show gratitude 🙏🏻 ❤
