Thanks for showing the old HO layout and how the O gauge has transformed.

Marvelous transformation and the thoughts on switching from HO to O. Nice information to consider!

I know how difficult it is to dismantle a layout you have worked so hard to build, I had to do that last year. I started with American Flyer S gauge in the late 50s, them switched to H.O. because it was impossible to find more American Flyer. When I got back into model railroading with my son in the 1980s, we started with the American Flyer I still had and went all in, gaining quite a collection of rolling stock, transformers, track, switches, and accessories. All that was packed away about 20 years ago. A bit more than four years ago, I started all over again and stayed with American Flyer because I really like the size, and the original A.C. Gilbert produced items are plentiful, available, and affordable. You have done a great job with your transformation.

Great stuff! You are quite the artist! Since your wife gave the go ahead to expand from HO to O guage and you've already filled up your current platform footprint perhaps she will agree to additional land acquisition in the basement of your home for further expansion.😀 Eminent domain? 🤟

I can appreciate the realism HO puts out, especially the two rail track, more selections but once I got ahold of an O scale engine, I was sold. I’ve subbed your site. Keep up the good work.

Nice. It is cool to see how much O gauge can fit into a smaller space and still look great. A fine video, as always.

Really enjoyed hearing about the history of the DT Shortline. I once modeled in HO as well for a time before returning to O gauge. Love your work on both railroads. Well done! Bill B.
