1. Jerry Maryniuk Art - Arborg, MB
Jerry grew up in Inglis & Arborg Mb. Those formative years gave him a deep appreciation for nature & art. Wildlife paintings & cartoons of friends were commonplace. Jerry chose Policing as a career & soon became an accomplished Police/forensic artist. When he retired to Arborg, he opened a studio.
2. Chatfield Gallery - Anthony Nelson (Anawason) - Chatfield, MB
Our seventh stop is the art gallery and home of Anthony Nelson (Anawason), an artist from the Camp Morton area of Manitoba with a passion for nature and Mysticism who could not resist creating art once inspired by his new home: Chatfield. His works are vibrant in both colour and symbolism-an homage to Dadaism and Maximalism that can be seen at the historic pool hall which has been transformed into the Chatfield Gallery!
3. Gimli Art Club - Ainslie Davis, Sweet Moon Studio Gallery - Gimli/Sandy Hook, MB
GAC transforms 2000+ square feet of wildly messy creative space into a calm refuge of inspired works-just for you, just for the summer! Nestled in the harbour-front hub of Gimli, anchoring the Seawall Gallery, GAC is home to more than 60 inventive members year-round. Ainslie is an artist living in Sandy Hook. She creates her art mainly by way of large acrylic abstracts but has interest and skill in a myriad of materials and processes to produce art.
4. Lemiez Statues - RM of Grahamdale (Located approximately 1 mile south of Grahamdale, MB, along HWY 6)
Discover the works of Armand Lemiez, an ambitious 72-year-old who created 21 awe-inspiring large concrete sculptures that interacted with their environment. Spanning a range of topics from his wilderness landscape to lost paintings - all gone after he passed and nature reclaimed its domain. Come explore this unique experience for yourself! The visiting season is June - October via highway signage access only.
5. Alan Lacovetsky - Oak Hammock Pottery - Sandy Hook, MB
Alan’s pottery studio is set in a forest next to Oak Hammock Marsh. This is where you can see how pottery was made in the “good old days” when potters worked on a slow-turning foot-powered wheel and fired in a wood-burning kiln. It’s truly “hands-on” and very much part of a folk tradition.
6. Heather Dawson - Glass by Heather - Winnipeg Beach, MB
Nurturing a strong connection to nature, many of Heather’s creations mimic their inspiration. See sparkling glass garden art, indoor décor, and eye-catching jewelry, and find the perfect piece you’ve been looking for - and maybe even see how it is created.
