“Take Out the Dog and Bark the Cat”, written by Elliott Randall
This video performance is a tribute to Elliott Randall and his cult jazz, blues, and rock vinyl LP recorded on the Polydor label entitled Randall’s Island, in 1970.
This tune was not a big hit as some new releases in the music world at the time, but it became a testament to the jazz and blues talent of his guitar playing. It became a cult blues classic for many musicians for decades afterwards and a prelude as to his future recordings and solos with Steely Dan, as well as many other big names in the music industry.
