You don't have to spend crazy amount of money on expensive astro cameras, star trackers or telescope. If you have a decent digital camera with manual mode and a sturdy tripod that is all you need. Basically taking lots of frames of the same deep sky object like galaxies and nebulas and combining and stacking them to get the best out of it.

Light pollution is the main challenge for astrophotography and stargazing. If you like outdoor camping and photography, rural camping areas are best for taking picture of the night sky.
If you are familiar with the long exposure photography, it will be extremely easy for you because this is all about long exposing the dark space to get all the lights possible. Our Earth's rotation will make every object in the space move constantly, so your exposure time will be limited depending on your camera's focal length. For this reason we need to calculate our perfect exposure time with the "500 Rule" formula to avoid star trails. (Details shown in the video)
What are Calibration Frames?
Dark Calibration Frames are reducing image noise in photographs shot with long exposure times, at high ISO sensor sensitivity. Temperature of the sensor creates different noise patterns depending on the heat, that is why all calibration frames need to be taken at the same time.
Bias Calibration Frames are images obtained from an opto-electronic image sensor, with no actual exposure time. The image so obtained only contains unwanted signal due to the electronics that elaborate the sensor data, and not unwanted signal from charge accumulation (e.g. from dark current) within the sensor itself.
Flat Calibration Frames are for improve quality in digital imaging. It cancels the effects of image artifacts caused by variations in the pixel-to-pixel sensitivity of the detector and by distortions in the optical path. It is a standard calibration procedure in everything from personal digital cameras to large telescopes.
