Guys I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. We here a lot about Elvis from the perspective of ex girlfriends, body guards etc which is all very interesting but for me the interactions and relationships he had with his musicians and singers is where the magic really is. These guys really saw the real Elvis doing what he did best. A lovely, sweet lady - very sincere and emotional in her recollections and we have some real 'time travel' special moments here. Maybe one of the best videos I have ever seen about Elvis as you really capture the essence of him here. Thanks for all you do.

I watch this with tears pouring down my face. I am 56 years old and grew up with Elvis playing in our home 7 days a week! My Grandfather was a musician, my father was a musician, and I am a musician . My father passed a few years ago, but not a day goes by that I don't close my eyes and picture my drum kit, my fathers bass, bass amp, his home stereo with huge speakers, and his record cabinet filled with Elvis LP's. Thank you for making this video.

You can always hear Estelle cheer in an Elvis concert. Refer to the end of American Trilogy in Elvis on Tour. You can hear Estelle yell "yes" at the end of the song and throw her arms in the air. If you listen real close, you can hear her "woop" all the time.

Fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing this. Many wonderful moments but my favourite is when 2001 plays and Ms. Brown “sees” Elvis walk on stage. She is watching him and is ready for a great show. You can tell she is a professional and well prepared. The joy on her face as she sings is incredible. What a wonderful person. One thing that strikes me about Elvis is the love and joy his friends express so many years on. This really was a family that cared for each other and those feelings have not faded over time. The love Elvis gave and the love we have for him is as strong as ever.

What a beautiful tribute! Thank you for arranging this, sharing it with us, and for being so open with us and with Estelle about how you feel. I was crying both happy and sad tears on and off during the whole video. Perhaps it wasn't how Estelle meant it, but when she after How Great Thou Art said that she wished it wouldn't have had to end. I imaged that she wished that the whole life they had back then didn't have to end, that Elvis didn't need to die. And it just broke me. As a fan who was born after Elvis' death, I've always know how it ended. His death was always part of the Elvis story I knew. But to the fans who lived at the same time as Elvis, and to the people that he worked with, it was a shock. And Elvis' death brought an end to the life that the everyone in the touring band had lived for eight years. It ended right then. Once again, thank you for sharing this! You definitely have a new subscriber.

Great video! You make an excellent point about listening to the interviewee and understanding what they are trying to relay. I think of this as the difference between Facts and Truth. Humans are terrible at remembering and communicating facts verbally and at a conversational level. This is why we have spent thousands of years developing tools to assist memory such as written language, books, and computer data storage. Humans are exceptional at verbally communicating experiences, which when you break them down are emotional journeys. During an interview, most people are attempting to convey the Emotional Truth of an experience. Due to the way the human brain works, many of the "Facts" of the experience have been stripped away leaving only the core of what the person finds most important, the emotional journey and impact of the event. In the retelling, our brains know there must have been "Facts" attached to the experience and may supply or substitute information. For big Elvis history fans, you see this in almost every interview of every one who ever knew Elvis. When substituted information becomes popular "Fact", this is what is known as the "Fog of History". Do not let yourself become confused between Factual Truth and Emotional Truth. Both are relevant and have meaning. Never rely on human memory for exact dates, times, names, places, etc. Always listen carefully to a person for the Emotional Truth of how they felt or experienced an event.

I was at the virtual concert at the mid-south coliseum in Memphis 1997 and one song played that night “ How great thou art was the actual vocal from the mid-coliseum concert concert record / cd although the film footage was from elsewhere. I closed my eyes and it was as close as I’ll ever get with Elvis’s vocal with the TcB band, The sweet inspirations, The Stamps etc in that very same building. Funnily enough the whole concert was filmed but never released apart from a fuzzy bootleg version, from the proper film cameras as one was close to me in the stands, so surely somewhere there must be an A1 version. It was the only time I saw JD Sumner and the one thing you don’t get listening to a recording is that when he did a deep dive bass note it reverberated around my rib cage!! 😊

Thanks for posting this and doing this for Ms. Estelle! And the fans. I was wondering how she she was doing and just found your video with a search. A lucky memory for me is some years back getting to chat some with Ms. Myrna and Ms. Estelle. You really captured her with this video! Thanks again! And thank you Ms. Estelle for all your love and support at the TONS of Elvis events you perform at. We love you!

TEAAARSS baby TEEARS. The LEGEND Estelle BROWN of the SWEET INSPIRATIONS. THE LAST STANDING. Elvis loved them and they loved him. If Elvis had lived THEY WOULD HAVE EACH SUNG till their LAST BREATHS. TOO POWERFUL HERE.
