Its always a big relief to adults with adhd and autism to see people treating their kids with adhd and autism well. The dentist sucks but he handled it like a champ.

100% agree!! It warms my heart to see parents try their best to accommodate their needs and actually accept them instead of pushing them to act 'normal'. I'm still working to get back to the real me and unlearning many behaviours that are harmful to me that I only learnt because I was pushed to fit a certain box and act a way i'm not. Watching videos like this helps me tremendously :)

I agree I personally can relate to a lot of adhd symptoms but I have never been diagnosed I do not like the dentist as I have to sit still while they put metal in my mouth which can make me gag

❤ my 5 and 8 year old brothers and possibly my three year old sister have angleman syndrome and they are literally angles❤ we don’t know about the three year old yet she is not walking or talking yet and has had to tube fed because she can’t suck bottles or chew and just had her first couple seizures she also has the tiny head and widely spaced teeth is there anything to look out for that you saw with your son griffin❤

I dont know what his sensory limits are, but a more compact option for the headphones are the Loop ear plugs. My daughter and i both have ADHD with severe sensory issues and they have been a lifesaver for public outings. Not all kids will tolerate something in their ear, but i always make sure to suggest them to people with sensory issues. ❤

Hey stop scrolling for a second. You don't know me and I don't know you. I'm just some random person trying to get on with my life like anyone would. You and I have probablly never met and we probably never will but what it's worth I just wanted to tell you that you mean the world to me. I don't care how many mistakes you've made. I don't care about your flaws I don't care about anything that could possibly make you 'not deserve' my admiration. Whoever you are, wherever you are I just want you to know that I love you and I care about you because whether your going through a tough time or your life is wonderful I just want you to know that you really matter to me. Now go and have a wonderful day, and a wonderful life you deserve that 😊❤️

Hi! I am autistic as well, and have sensory issues too! I have discovered a couple of things, noise canceling headphones are a must, sunglasses help to block out the bright light, and I always ask to keep wearing the lead shield they use for X-rays. It’s like a weighted blanket! And I always pick the least flavored polish.

They have those little mirrors for pretty cheap on Amazon at the last dentist I went to they gave me one and they also had a pretty cheap set of disposable tools like the good ones they had that they normally give out on the pediatric side they gave me a kit I loved it it also came with a toothbrush and toothpaste. It wasn't any of the electronic tools just the hand held ones. They told my grandma I could have it because they knew I was going to do a good job and they showed me what each tool was for and how I could use them it was still hard with the sticky stuff they put on the teeth at the end to make them stronger but they still said I did a good job and he was the first dentist that didn't get mad that I still use kids toothpaste even though I'm a grown up he said I just need to make extra sure I brush and floss extra good to make up for it I can't handle spicy toothpaste. My grandma also looked it up on Amazon and they have the disposable kits for fairy cheap on Amazon

@Living_since2010

You should talk to a doctor about it, and you can get tested. I got tested for adhd, and they just asked some questions, like how you react in different situations. I found out I dont have adhd, but I have ocd😅
