TALES OF THE ACCIDENTAL CITY
Four Nairobi residents find themselves stuck together in a court-ordered anger management Zoom room during the pandemic. They must explain what got them there and, with the help of their unconventional counselor, find a way to heal their wounds. Originally conceived as a play, the pandemic inventively transformed Maïmouna Jallow's production into an insightful and often wickedly funny film that all takes place on a computer screen. Official Selection, 2021 Durban and San Francisco film festivals. DIR Maïmouna Jallow. Kenya, 2021, 54 min. In English.
