Maxxy, the "six on stage" rule is down to national budgets. Extra dancers etc means extra wages, flights, hotel costs. That's fine for a wealthy country/broadcaster, not so much for others... Whatever, bravo to you for addressing the elephant in the room. The Luxembourg comeback is in danger of falling into a controversy unless all the pre-contest performances interviews and press conferences are handled with incredible diplomacy I wish Luxembourg the best of luck - y/know, these songs and artists were selected for their national final months ago..

in theory I would want the 6 people on stage rule to be loosened up but some countries don't have the luxury of being able to have extra people so it keeps things somewhat fair for everyone.

thank you for speaking up! I personally think the song was written before October 7th (being real here, all of the Luxembourg NF songs were giving chat gpt generated with a nordic touch lol) and she likely expressed interest to be in Luxembourg's NF before that as well. So I don't think there was big conspiracy going on like a lot of people believe. However, I don't like that Luxembourg's return is being used to be a surrogate for Israel (I would feel similarly with other countries too. It's fine to honor your heritage but the way it's being approached by some people rubs me the wrong way) and I also don't like people exploiting her to set a pro Israel agenda (regardless of what her own views are). Tali is probably a nice girl and we don't know what's going on in her head but I do feel weird listening to this song and have a similar sentiment as you.

hey, just so you know she lives in luxembourg for 13 years. we are a international country with over 40% non luxebourgish people so we are proud of her and the song was written by somone else but so are 90% of all eurovision songs just you all compare us to countrys with over 10 milion people while we have just over 600k so don t be hyporits and praise them, when countrys like france, germany and all those others do exactly the same while they have 60 and 80 milion people.... maybe before criticizing such a small country some info hecking wouldn t be bad.

@fiber9857 just to clarify - I moreso have an issue with hardcore Israeli eurofans being like "she's OURS" and acting like she's a second Israel/KAN participant. I don't doubt Tali wants to represent Luxembourg and if she wants to wave both Luxembourgish and Israeli flags in the green room in Malmö then that's her business and right and I'm not gonna stop her.

Genocide??? SO a question . Do you know what Genocide is ? Do you know the facts about the war in Gaza ? About the mumber of Palestinian kids being hospitalized in Israel's hospitals for better medical treatment? Do you know how many Palestinian girl who had to run for their lives cause their own brother or father wanted to murder them just because they fell in love with someone?do you know how many Palestinians crossed the border from Gaza to Israel prior to October 7 cause they had better jobs in Israel? You have been blindsided and joined a which hunt without checking the facts and that is sad. Tali dedicated the song to her brother cause he is risking his life in a war that was imposed on him by a terror organization that killed 1200 civilians, raped ,mutilated, beheaded babies ,burnt mothers holding their babies alive . This is not a political statement, it is a sister thinking about her brother who is in another country fighting for what he think is right and to be honest he is fighting for you to be able to live your life the way you do now .for your right to dress the way you want and use the pronoun you want . never mind the fact you totally forgot how this sad war started, never mind the fact your voice was not heard calling for the release of the hostotage or condemning the sex crimes ,rapes and torture ,never mind the fact you know nothing about the conflict, you want to boycott not only israel but who ever has connection to Israel or Israelis, jews or anyone that really knows what is going on there. ESC is not a competition between government, its public broadcasters competition. Let the music talk . You reacted to the song. Do we really need to know you won't be listening to it cause of ( wrong) political agenda ? Especially that you really have no clue about the conflict and wrongly accusing Israel in Genocide. This year's competition has lost its value. Fairness is gone. Tali and Luxemburg will be punished because ?? She's Jewish ? Because she has relatives in Israel? This is getting out of control .it's a which hunt against Israel Israelis, Hebrew speakers, half Israelis ,Israeli food, Jewish coffee shops . Welcome to 1943 miss rainbow. Dont forget that when your life will be at risk while visiting GAZA or the Palestinian Authotlroty, and you will run for your life for simply being who you are , you will find refuge , support and understanding with the LGBTQ+ community in Tel Aviv. Let the music play ,keep in non political . Maybe through the music ,some fairnelss and understanding the devastation on both side ,after years of bloody conflict ,maybe music can give people some hope for.better future for both people.

@@yuvalnatanzon7143 no need, really, I’ve read too much bull***t like that coming from Israeli apologists already. Netanyahu is a war criminal who should be in jail right now, being Israeli doesn’t mean you have to blindly defend this government’s actions, nor try to convince everyone around you that this massacre is not happening, that the Israeli army has not killed almost 30 thousand people, which is 20 times more than the people killed in Hama’s terrorist attack. Or that the majority of these 30 thousand people are women and children, who can’t defend themselves, who can’t escape anywhere cause the Israeli government won’t let them. When an Israeli artist is singing about her soldier brother in a massive stage for the whole world to see, literally at the same time >>children are being torn into pieces by Israeli strikes

I like this song a lot...and I love the "Jump Clap" the dancers do!!! ...but I do have one major issue. And you noticed it too when you said "I didn't expect that" at the end of her song. It's a problem of the songwriting itself. As a listener, a song "false end" to a song may work in a movie or theatre, but not in a live show ir musical contest. When a you are confused as when to applaud the end of the song, it's a geniune issue with the ending of the song itself. Honestly...cut the slowed down ending and finish on an upbeat note!! The ending if songs can be compared for impact, even if the songs are different in composition. For example, which song ended the last part with the most definite and impactful ending: -Tali "Fighter" or -Bambi Thug "Doomsday Blues"

Why do you think every eighteen-year-old boy and girl in the State of Israel is required to enlist for three years in the army, instead of going to university? Hi Maxxy! I am from Luxembourg and watched our national competition live on TV when it happened. I didn't know anything about Tali back then, so I voted entirely by performance and I gotta say, she won this fair and square that night. I like the song, I don't think it will win, but I hope we will at least qualify. I really DO hope though that she won't use this platform during Eurovision to make ANY political remarks. She didn't speak about the dedication to her brother in the short clip explaining the song during that national competition and she should shut her mouth until way after the ESC too. I think if she'd campaign visibly for the IDF, we might make a big stink. The majority of Luxembourg is pro-Palestinian and our foreign affairs minister (who himself is Jewish) has rebuked Netanyahu's zionist government for years at this point and our government is always pleading for an end to this war.... It wouldn't do well at home if Tali became a vocal IDF supporter. So far what I've seen about her more political comments, they were all written in Hebrew, which thankfully most people can't read and which the average ESC watcher who isn't a ESC super fan won't look up. I am a bit miffed about my choice in hindsight, but I think she knows better than to highlight the more problematic aspects of her entry.

I am from Luxembourg. Why in hell should we have any interest in sending a pro-war song or whatever at Eurovision? We just happen to send a singer who has lived here for a long time and has Israeli parents. Should she be banned from participating because of that? Her song is not about the conflict and it‘s not as if she is an activist of some sort. Banning someone because they were born somewhere or because their parents have a certain citizenship would be very sick. She wasn’t even my favorite (I voted for Krick) but I get mad at people targeting a 24 year old singer. She didn‘t start this conflict. This is a very complex situation. Netanjahu is to blame. The hamas is to blame. Many others are to blame. But not this girl. What the hell is wrong with you?
