FYI - Slight misread when making these lists without Warscroll Builder/App. One list had 6 reinforcement and not 5 as the subfaction lets you do... fear not, split out the unit of 20 Steelhelms into 2x10 and we're 100% legal. Thanks for the comments peeps

Judging by the reviews, people en masse liked the new miniatures. This is good. I hope GW takes note of this and develops the idea further: if the Cities of Sigmar is NOT the old fantasy Empire, but the "Sigmar's Imperial Guard", then there must be different regimes, right? Like the new models are "Cadians", but in plastic there are both Catachan and Krieg, it should be the same here.

Didn't see it down here in the comments so wanted to give a little shout to the twins as allies in settlers gain. They already have a chance to give a extra command point if near the general, so can potentially generate two in settlers gain

I think the Dwarf prayer to take is Rune of Oath and Steel. Put it on a big unit of Ironbreakers, so you can make them the ultimate Anvil screen. In your enemy's combat phase, they'll be 3+ Save, 4+ Ward, and -1 to Wound. Give them a Mystic Shield on top of that, and they'll be incredibly tough to shift.

Great Video Coach! I'm very excited for the new Cities of Sigmar. I'm going to miss the Coalition rules, since the ability to tech-in lots of units from other factions was what made me interested in the Old book, but the models were too much of a turn-off. Now however, I pre-ordered 2 launch boxes I'm that hyped. But if my tech options are more limited now, and since I happen to be working on this army at the moment, I'd really like your take on the Scinari Calligrave or Sevireth as allies in Settlers Gain. The Calligrave is a dirt cheap Wizard at 110 points. He has the Deep Thinkers ability, letting him auto-cast on a 9 once per game, and Warscroll Spell Erasure can deal ALOT of mortal wounds to a single target at an impressive 24" range. So you can just keep him near your general and get some extra CP and Mortal Wounds all for a pretty minimal investment. Meanwhile, Sevireth is a *hyper* mobile piece, he's got a 24" move with another 12" at the end of your shooting phase. This can let him score movement based Battle Tactics or he can use it to get within 12" and snipe out any fragile Antdorian Locus units your opponent has. His bow is Rend -3 so 90% of Antdorian Loci won't get a save against him without *hard* Save-Stacking. Plus, he can use that extra 12" at the end of your shooting phase to move within range of your general for that extra CP. But he's also 270 points, which is a hefty investment I understand. But I want your take on these 2. I even made a Superchat during the stream, hoping the question would get answered. But I'm glad it didn't, since it had an incorrect assumption in there. I *wanted* to include the normal Wind Spirit in this discussion, since the normal Wind Spirit only 210 points. But GW has still refused to give the normal Wind Spirit the *HERO* keyword. While still insisting that it should take up one of your precious leader slots.(I'm not bitter, I swear)

It might get FQQ'd but command corps can stack the healing into a single target right now. So, on top of rally in combat, you can bring back 3d3 if the corps tag along. Their anti-flee mechanic also helps flagellants with battle shock.

AOS being the game it is coalition should have stayed a thing everywhere it already was. Opens up so much in terms of narrative and uniqueness in army building

You're right... oversight on my behalf with 1 too many reinforcements, just split the Steelhelm unit of 20 into 2x10 and we're good.

The subfaction allows you to reinforce one additional unit so you have one double reinforce that's "free"

In the 1 list i think you can include only 1 additional reinforced unit, not 2. You got 6 reinforce units:)

I disagree. The Fusiliers aren’t that good. I‘ve played them 6 times so far and they don’t perform too well. All in all you have to invest 450+90+90 points to have good damage. If you remove the Warforger they‘re on a standard 3+,3+,-1,1 profile if you have the Command Traits. I‘d expect them to drop to 120-130. The base 4+,4+ makes them useless if you don’t combo them heavily.

Yeah the reason everyone is gushing over them is because everyone is seeing all the combos you can do. However there are so many keystones that need to survive for that to work its very easy to cripple them. Like if they are the crux of the army I guess that is fine. But they soak up soo many points for relatively fragile units.

If you build into them , the Fusilers aboslutely slap and punch above their weigh but if you are taking 10-20 with limited support, they aren't as valuable. If you drop the investments and subfaction around it I would agree with you

@@gwell2118 if one fails the Warforger spell they don’t do much anymore. For 30 it‘s 62 shots. Adding +1,+1 it’s 27,5 wounds. Against 4+ save that’s 18,37 dmg. For 540 points that’s just not good enough. Return fire and unleash hell do okay at best since you can’t increase their hit and wound values anymore (you need the Warforger again) 62 shots, 15,5 wounds, 10,33 dmg vs 4+ saves, only 7,75 vs 3+ saves. 5,16 dmg vs 2+ saves. As reference: With aoa An Ironclad deals 12,96 + 2,22 dmg against a 4+ save (using only the 2 dmg shots + Torpedos), but the ironclad is fast, can transport and needs no support, has mines, doesn’t have to take battle shock tests if she takes some wounds. In my games so far they supported well but terrain blocked them from getting the most out of their potential. The footprint of 30 is huge btw. And the warforger spell is really hard to get off past turn one. In my opinion they’re nowhere close to blissbarbs and it’s a very vulnerable combo that falls apart quickly. It’s powerful if it works for sure, but there’s A Lot that has to align for it. Thx for the analyses Coach! :)

all dwarfs feels so underpower in the internal balance of this book that is a shame. humans and elfs are more sturdy(black guard) better at shooting(fussilers) better screens(corsairs) or better in melle(executiomer). and the dwarf orders are also useless and the worst of the book and enhacement are crap also

I don't necesarrily see that. They are pound-for-pound pretty sturdy, have pretty good melee with their Hammerers and the Shield-wall Order is pretty hand especially on Ironbreakers. I'd say they are ok.

I’d have to disagree there, Ironbreakers are pretty damn good as an anvil, add on the order to give them a 4+ ward, with more than likely AoD to boost them to a 2+ save, those dawi aren’t moving anywhere. Hammerers are probably the scariest melee hammer in the book, able to reach rend -4 with counter charge, even Archaon baulks at having to fight that. Warden Kings make the hammerers even scarier with auto wounds on 6’s to hit, while the hammerers give the king a 4+ ward….. Gyrocopters/bombers now have a base 3+ save…. While still also being *very* mobile. The main units that got “hit/nerfed” needed a break from carrying the old book tbh 😂😅both Irondrakes and long beards are still good, but they’re not as strong as they used to be, which is a good thing, it encourages list diversification.

@@isannui sorry but you are so wrong,first the ward4 is useless,dont work in shooting,magic or our combat phase,second many units have save3 for less points and double damage than dwarfs as chaos warriors or saurus, and hammerers dont have rend4, the prayer is only 4+ so it is a useless 50% chance and dont worth bring a runelord,and the order for extra +1 rend is only against nobbs that dont know play and let you countercharge,but in competitive nobody gonna let you use it,also executioners are better and have many more buffs

@@toro132 IB can get buffs from both Duardin heroes to up their attack output. BOG can help as well, but they defensive output is much higher than what you are giving credit for. all out defense gets them auto- 2+. 4+ ward in enemy combat phase makes them flat out better than Chaos Warriors or Saurus guard for that turn. You can get them -1 to wound...........List goes on, there offense is a little low but defensively they are arguably the best in the book. They are not even remotely useless.
