I've got a vango faros 2 poled awning. Had poled as they're much lighter. I'm 80 & widower. So easier to attach to van .I've modified mine. The poles as you mentioned are all connected together with bungee cord. Ive cut mine into 3 sections. Sides x2 & top. The top section has to be threaded through a sleeve. Sides are external So all I have to thread through are the 3 pieces. Much easier than 8 pieces. I've taped the top pieces together so they don't come apart. And keep them in the pop top area for storage

Your point “ it depends on your use” is very well made. I personally have a sun canopy that slides on to my Remo rail In combination with a lodge tent ( 2m by 2m tent that looks like a big toilet tent) If I’m away for a few days I take the tent to store stuff for when I drive off for the day. If I’m only there for a night or two the tent stays at home and I just use the canopy. It works perfect for me and takes less than 30 mins to put up.

It's funny how different people pronounce things, the table in question is the Loc8, to me I find it funny when people refer to it as Loc(k)8 where i always call it Locate (lo K eight). This is proberly due to the area you either live in or come from. You also made some excellent points about the poled v air awnings Vango make excellent air beams and their prices represent the development of the technology involved, as they were one of the first if not the first to introduce airbeam tents into the country. Regarding poled awnings depending onthe type or style if they have a ridge pole going to the front of the awning to the side of the van at right angles it might be possible for the poles to damage the body work of the vehicle ( I have seen this with caravan awnings). any way as you rightly says different things suite different people. keep up these fascinating chats many thanks

O has no idea awnings could now have inflatable tubes! I was not planning to get one but after watching your video I know it’s definitely something I need to look at now that “summer” is here. Great video!

They are so easy to put up, even on your own. I have a large one at the moment and can put it up very easily on my own. If it was the equivalent poled awning, I would struggle on my own

It’s nice to chat vans. I have contacted a few, but been ignored unfortunately. I will give them the benefit of doubt and maybe it went to spam. I will try again, one in particular as I have an idea 💡

Have a look at the bush company awnings - free standing 180 and 270 awnings and an option for a wall kit aswell to fully enclose.

Asa single small lady I love air awnings . poled awnings are hopeless for me the wind blows poles away I cannot erect them on my own !!1 recommend Kampa awnings I have a sprint and an action Kampa air awning and i can erect them on my own successfully Olpro are rubbish they do not retain shape A Vango awning started to tear after 10 months use so disappointed that a well known make was awful value. I would like manufacturers to create annex awnings to put on when main awning setup. Cos weight is an issue when you are on your own Love my Kampa and Berghaus air roducts

I currently have a massive Kampa awning and even that is easy to erect. It’s huge and then has an annex also 😀 Air awnings are much easier to put up than poled

Two guys sitting in chairs talking. Products all around why don't you move the camera to show them to your viewers as you discuss the features? you pick up a box and show the pictures on the outside. Why not take it out of the box? Very static presentation.

And those listening only wouldn’t have seen a thing 🤣 (Podcast) I understand and will show more in the future. I did actually shoot the clips to lay over, like I did for the torch, but didn’t include them in the edit 🤦🏼♂️
