Love how he immediately warns people to get such a Parrot just because they saw one acting cute. 👍 People should be forced to watch several videos of Parrots throwing a tantrum, so that they know what they can also sound like, before being allowed to buy one.

You are always on *their* schedule,lol. thank you for mentioning that they *are* a lifetime commitment...my grandma loved her guy until she got sick with cancer, and had to re home him with his breeder, who fortunately took him back for life.

@@cerberus1321 oh ok, I agree with you fully. Sanctuaries are great places to go and learn about animals without them having to do tricks, and laboring all day sometimes in the hot sun. You really made a great point, you should have started your own thread with this point.

@@cerberus1321 evidently youre not too familiar with birds they love being the center of attention and all the praise. The Memphis Zoo is one of thebest ive been to. Their animals are well cared for.Humans enjoy being entertained by the birds too. It also takes alot of money for their upkeep ,food,shelters,toys,vetting,training etc. Dont be too quick to judge and criticize what you know nothing about. Do your research first. These people are dedicated professionals that are college educated and have degrees that care for and train these animals. Think about all the animals that would become extinct if not for humans and places like this. Just a bit of " word food for thought" .have a great day. #ADOPTDONTSHOP

So ture about singing at 5 AM. My Ex-husband got one to impress an ex girlfriend. This bird would bite to draw blood then laugh like a possessed 😈 and say "ouch!" Ha ha ha. In your face. So they are a constant 2 year old that lives 50 + years. This is not a pet. It's a commitment that last 50 + years. That's longer than most people are married these days.
@mikshinee87

It's a crazy idea to have one. I wonder if there are many parrots that lived it's 50+ years with one family even across two generations. I doubt it. So by having one you are already providing it with an uncertain future because how can you be sure that the next owner is going to treat it well. It's probably going to end up in a zoo or a sanctuary or something like that. And the stress it's going to feel when you die must be enormous. Not to mention thinking that you can provide as much stimulation as an entire flock of birds that have the whole rainforest to themselves? What hubris. You know, people sometimes say they wish dogs and cats lived as long as humans. Maybe it's for the best that they don't.

My favorite ones are the ones with the parrots that bark or say random things, that is hilarious. And any guy that tries to impress his ex-girlfriend or any woman that tries to impress her ex-boyfriend needs therapy. You don't break up just to get back together that doesn't make sense.
