U really have to almost relearn to play this pedal. But once u play with all the adjustments, and find your spot...🤩. Smack! The lightest touch can really let ur bass drum reach its full sound potential, without working so hard. The pedal is like an autonomous Ferrari, and your leg is just along for the ride, using subtle foot strokes to find your groove. Hard to put into words. My leg was actually sore for a week or two...but then it's like you're cheating when u figure it out. Doubles are automatic. Triples are right there too. I'm using a single.

Iron cobra & dyna sinc love them both i also love the Pearl Demon drive they are all equally great pedals. but thats just my meek opinion Best pedal i had was in 1983. it was a Ludwig speed king. the modern pedals are just as good but with alot of crazy adjusting and fine tuning for everyones different personalities🙏🏻

You should check out the 2020 remakes of the speed king. Kept true to what made the original so iconic. And removed all the wiggly squeaky points of failure. And improved the action. My only complaint is I can't get a double version. But it's my favorite pedal still. And only like 180 bucks on sweetwater.

Doesn't the fact that the cam changes when you change the beater angle completely affect how the pedal operates? So you're not just changing the beater angle but the whole feel and if the pedal even operates like it should?

Without a doubt. I gave Pearl's Demon Drive a go, it's ridiculously smooth, but Tama's Dyna-Sync is something else. It's like the one pedal everyone is looking for when they want more power and speed. Tama's Dyna-Sync is also more adjustable than Pearl's Demon Drive.

@morganyounger4053 The DD just feels so cheap in comparison. It has no power and the springs break too easily. That's actually one of the reasons I choose tama pedals over Pearl. The detachable springs.

With all the features this pedal has, and at that price point, you shouldn't have to deal with a problem such as the aforementioned height resonant side bass drum angle adjustment to cam angle with drive link touching the batter side. I'm surprised Tama did not take that into consideration. If you like your bass drum even 3 inches off the ground, then there's no point in buying this pedal.
@chrispeterson73

So basically Tama has pretty much copied Pearl's Demon Drive pedal?🤔
@treatb09
4 жыл бұрын
no. this pedal is a rip off, and you are all foolish. look at the parts on it and compare it to their other models. maybe it has decent bearings for that 700$ price. but the rest are their base model parts. you are paying 3 times it's marketable value.
@treatb09
4 жыл бұрын
the only thing they had to design for it is that attachment to the pedal itself. otherwise, each one of those bars costs 250$. cause this is a 200$ pedal. that mechanism isn't worth 500$... plain and simple. this is a gimmick.
