Yeah but decals can look painted on if you do it right. Unless you work for a Hollyweird model shop, it should be about having fun. That said I've built a 1/32 scale F4, but it was Steve Ritchie's USAF with the Vietnam-era camo. It hung from my bedroom ceiling for years, in constant pursuit of the 1/32 scale MiG-21 that was part of the Revell set.

Sometimes I think to myself how some people can have such dedication and patience to build something soo realistic and detailed. I struggle very much with 1/24 scale race cars lol. I also like to do as close as possible to a real car but my patience isn't as close as this.. Jet looks beyond amazing, crazy amount of small details but the end result is just better than imagined.

When you cut the decals out, you should be able to apply a low tack masking tape over them to keep the multi-part decals (like the skull) together while you apply the mask to the model, then remove the tape, leaving the decal in place, unless that decal material is already very low tack.

The F4 wouldn't have the reddish brown streaks that's something that occurs on steel and iron objects the F-4 phantom is primarily built from aluminum . The only streaking you would see would be from grease around hinge points of control surfaces and moving panels there would also be streaks of hydraulic fluid in random places where it occurred . The grease would be grayish black and the hydraulic fluid would be burgundy color . i worked on F-4's in the navy 8 years . The phantom can get pretty dirty especially aft of the nozzles everything on the underside should be covered with soot .

Very nice but I worked on the F4 for years at McClellan AFB and the green windscreen is incorrect, they’re clear just like the rest of the canopy. It’s laminated glass so from certain angles it might show just a slight tint but nowhere near this.

Great job, but I was surprised the number of additional extra P.E kits to reach this kind of job. I wonder if without this kits could have this result. I understand that nowadays the hobby companies offer more and more details for the models, but where is the real escence of the modeling? Anyway congratulaciones for the job!!!

PE kits? i didnt use any PE but you mean aftermarket parts? All the aftermarket is optional so if you dont want to spend extra money, you dont have to. I don't get the "where is esence of modelling" part to be honest, what do you mean?
