This bump steer is so bad it works both ways. Over bumps it veers to the side, and upon steering, you don't get full turning angle but you get suspension travel extension or compression instead. I DIYed a axle-mount for the servo, mounting it to the 3 bolt holes on the front diff. Worked like a champ.

What did you use for a mount on the chassis side?

@@oddsandendsrc I got a axle mount for SCX10 and replaced the base plate with a larger plate to make sure it can cover the area of the 3 screw holes on the diff housing. Then use some longer screws with plastic spacers (washers, stock plastic ball joint pieces to mount the plate level. Then you are basically done with it. Next is just mounting the servo and minor tweaks. (I removed the front bumper piece, as the servo horn can rub against it. (measure before you drill holes on the plate, don't mount the servo too much forward, or it will rub against the front piece of the frame)

@@samonesa9125 Sounds like a good option, I might have to try it!

I used rc 4 wd wagon wheels bk and dirt grabber rc 4 wd tires. Added all of the shock adjusters to raise up the chassis.

Hi. Your G Wagen looks great! I’m planning to put 1.55 wheels on my CC-02. Do you think using wider wheel hubs would provide clearance for the wheels negating the need to file/grind down the suspension screws?

That should work. Depending on what wheels you use you may not have to.

Type in magnetic rc body mounts on eBay or Amazon and it should bring up a ton of them.

Thanks! I got an offer on it I couldn't refuse and sold it before I could do a running video. But I have been finishing up on my TWS CTS build, it's the same size as the cc02, but much better! Keep an eye out for a video on it.

First time I saw the first of 4 builds, I KNEW there would be bump steer!! 😖 4 Link and CMS. Just doesn't work. If you can figure out a way to make a Panhard Rod setup, and remove one of the upper front Links, that problem will be all but gone! 👍👍 I'm still trying to figure out how to afford one, but meanwhile I keep finding new ideas for it!! Probably won't even use the Merc body, but replace one of my CC01 chassis with it. 😉 Subbed!!

It can work. Mount the servo horizontal between the chassis and have the servo arm pointing down towards the pumpkin of the axle. Make sure the steering link from servo to knuckle is as parallel with the axle as possible. It might limit up travel on the front axle but not articulation, but that's not a problem at all. This setup works perfect on my SCX10 with no bumpsteer at all.
