Great video! I just built mine and the suspension on the front would push the wheels out & after watching you’re video I realised I put the steering rack outer pins on the top of the hubs when they should go on the bottom ✌️

I bought the HITEC HS-646WP ULTRA TORQUE HV WATERPROOF SERVO, MG for my HotShot build because of the recommendation in this video. After much messing around over several days, I eventually swapped it out because it doesn't fit correctly. Anyone else having problems?

Really. What was wrong with the fitment? Curious to know what happened.

Better oil-filled shocks. Not a fan of the plastic units at all.

I noticed that in my kit another esc is included. The Carson Dragster brushed 70A. Maybe the power switch of this one will fit like in the Tamiya instruction manual. Otherwise i have to put it elsewhere like you did.

Where are you located? The HW 1060 should only be available in US kits.

@@Competitionx i am located in the Netherlands. I ordered the kit from Conrad in the Netherlands, bit i understand it's a german company ? There was also a "special" sticker on the box with tip buying Carson steering and battery-charger set. So i think Carson works with Tamiya. Anyhow i think Tamico Germany is in this, Tamico= Tamiya Germany, looks like it. But i could be wrong.

Yes, the Hobbywing ESC is only available in US kits. Not sure about other areas. Anyway, enjoy the car - it's a fun one!

Any tips on the placement of the on/off switch? One supplied and in your video differs to the manual....

I wanted to wait until I got the body done to see where it might go. I ended up putting it right next to the hole where the standard one was supposed to go. A piece of strong double-sided tape did the trick. Face it down so it's easy to get to - it doesn't bulge out the body that much.

LOL yup, you are correct. Was so excited to be almost done that we just mounted it up without paying attention. Kinda like how the roof vent is expelling the air instead of forcing it into the cockpit :)

You need to paint the driver. You can paint and then slip it in there.

I think you got the roof the wrong way around, but you might have done that on purpose.

Nope, not on purpose! LOL Paying more attention to getting it zip-tied on than the actual direction of the parts. Good catch.

Don't buy that turnbuckle tool. You're gonna run into problems when you come across turnbuckles with closed cups.. Use a dedicated turn buckle wrench.
@Competitionx

The turnbuckle tool has two sides, one for open-ended and one for closed ball cups. We’ve used it now on almost every 1/10 scale RC kit we’ve built and it’s been great.
