yeah, Fusions are obscure in crawlers, the smoothness is unreal :D

Great progress on the build. I would ditch that gearbox and go for a directdrive with the Fusion and a planetary gear reduction.

That would CRAWL!!!

i have a 14-1 reduction straight off the 35 turn motor in my actros it runs smooth and pulls hard. the bonus is that you can relocate your steering servo to the front and push the motor back a little.

Did you make a follow up video? Keen to know your thoughts on it vs the HW1060/1080 and the Carson motor?

I ran into the same problem with battery wires on my trucks,Scania, man,Mercedes. I extended the wires in my battery’s 100mm or so to get them tucked into the wire channel better.

Something that people still misunderstand... (primarily because nearly EVERYONE believes it at this point).... HIGH TURN MOTORS HAVE *LESS* TORQUE THAN LOW TURN BRUSHED MOTORS!! It's been said to the contrary so many times, that people believe that high turn motors have more torque. On most RCs, a 15 turn brushed motor will SHRED the rubber right off of the tyres - where an 80 turn motor in the same vehicle, will likely stall... or take off slowly. THAT TYRE SHREDDING is TORQUE!! High turn motors ONLY provide a slower starting speed and control, and a lower top speed. That's it. Far less torque than a lower turn motor! Like I said, the contrary has been drilled into everyone for so long, most people just accept it as fact... 🙄 There's also another way....... As soon as I can make videos again, in my Grand Hauler, I've fitted a 35 turn motor, and a 3:1 Gear Reduction Unit. With a Hobbywing WP-1080, it crawls as smoothly as your Scania.... (minus of course the BEMF Speed Stabilisation Control) Give it a go! GRUs aren't expensive! But I would love to try that 2 in 1 Quicrun unit, if I get money....

@@mattiasrc Looking forward to it!! I I'm waiting for the HINO cab from China (on the sloeist boat!!!), and I'll probably have to scratchbuild the Dump Bed. I'm fitting a 370 motor in it, to get that pure, *4 cylinder* Thai power!!! 😆😁🤣 It's taking much longer than expected.

@@mattiasrc I'm hoping! When I get my workbench back... I'm doing the 8X4 Tipper Truck first. It's the most expensive gift I'll ever get again (from the RC Elf).
