Video railfan guides are something the community desperately needs, and this is a shining example. Maybe I’ll start doing these for the northeast, depending on how well received this is.

Danny, if you’re ever back in Ft Pierce highlighting the new Brightline 110 mph service or FEC, stop by Moonswiners BBQ at the junction of State Road 70 and Okeechobee Rd. They’ve been around for more than 60 years, rebuilt after a massive fire gutted the restaurant couple years ago and has been a staple for fantastic BBQ for us locals for years. We drive an hour South from our home in Brevard all the time for a quick lunch or dinner with friends…it’s just that good

Hi Danny! I am so glad that I recently discovered your Channel. I have been hired as a Conductor for one of our nation's Class 1 railroads and I was searching KZitem for some instructional Conductor videos when your page came up. Besides being enjoyable videos, I find that I learn much watching your quality presentations. I will begin my Conductor's training in another week. I will be 500 miles from home but I know it will be time well spent as I am absolutely determined to pass the exams at the end of my training weeks and become the very best Conductor that I can be. Both my lovely wife and I are quite excited at what lies ahead just 'around the bend'. Thank you so much for all you have taught me. And your positive, upbeat spirit is both uplifting and encouraging. My very best to you always sir. God bless! Rickey

The railfan "Timesaver" game was developed in the 1970's, and is now a game ap. Deliberately difficult switching challenges are presented. Delivering three cars in a small yard with the minimum number of moves is the objective. Switching assignments get trickier, almost seeming impossible.

Glad to hear you loved your trip to my old stomping grounds, Ohio...I was born and raised in Findlay/Fostoria area but now live in SC and am looking to move on down to Florida and hope to get down to your neck of the woods some day. On our last trip to Florida we stopped in Cordele, GA and stayed at the Travelodge there and recommend them as a place to stay...very nice people and room was clean even though a bit tight for my wheelchair, but very good...in fron of them is a restaraunt we very highly recommend every one going to Cordele to try...The Shaq...food was excellent and very large sized for a good price! Thank you and blessings to all out 'on the high iron'!

Mr. Harmon This is a great video and very helpful. I am capturing all the info into notes for upcoming railfan outings to Tampa. Any chance you could give us some general timeframes to expect trains at each of the locations you covered in this video? You mentioned a couple for the Amtrak appearances at the 39th St crossing which are very helpful, but for the others those of us not familiar with the Tampa railroad operational tempo could easily miss opportunities for seeing iron. Thanks much!

I used to live on the A line in Orlando back when we had Q170 and 177 and when Taft yard had decent traffic. Your videos helped me learn about the S line and the tampa area once SunRail screwed up all A line traffic. Now I live in Memphis and occasionally we have those new siemens Amtrak locomotives on the city of New Orleans. I live in between the CN and CSX lines there so I can bounce between the two and see a lot of stuff I’d never see in Orlando or bushnell

Don’t get too excited about those new Amtrak locomotives. Up here on the BNSF Scenic sub, which is the western end of the Empire Builder, there are lots of reports of software challenges shutting down the locomotives in both colder and hotter weather. Many times I’ve seen a BNSF locomotive pulling an old P42 pulling a new Siemens, perhaps because the Siemens had faults and the old P42 is, well, old. Love seeing your videos - keep up the great work!
